Hey unknown, with the exception of the 01Se results, the thumbnails in the others don't open up to a large enough resolution as to make them legible. Please repost the pics with the full res as opposed to scaled down ones.

Good day gents and ladies. To those of you who care about such things as benchie numbers, unfortunately I have some bad news...(this goes out specially to a man who has pwned me for many months on the rankings, his identiy shall remain unmentioned). Sadly, I got my hands on a c2d cpu and a high end p35 chipset board. Suffice it to say, i've squeezed a 75% overclock out of a lowly c2d e4400 bringing it from 2.0ghz up to 3.5ghz. If you are not already bowing down to my rig and Intel in general, I strongly suggest that you do so immediately.

Now im sure some of you will think i'm lying so in order to dispell your doubts, I provide a single solitary picture, a picture that tells a story all on its own.

Rig:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo e4400
RAM: 2GB Corsair DDR-2
e-Geforce 8800gts 640 @ 660/990

3d mark 06: 11,498

sm2.0: 5107
HDR/sm3.0 score: 4954
CPU score: 3095

Do I HAVE to do any more benchies? I dont think so.

Apparently the e4400 seems to be a MUCH better overclocker, based on these results.
Of course, the P35 itself has become the new OC champ as far as Intel chipsets go.
The 680i chipset is still the best overall chipset for OCing the Core 2 Duo.

While im stable for short (read 1hr 100% load tests), im yet to determine if its 100% rock solid.

I mean for $125, this b1atch is the little CPU that could!!!! Sadly, in the end it is still the allendale core, which is kinna hit and miss in terms of it overclockability. If you want a better chance of higher overclock, its best if you go to one of the 6 series chips...and also you get double the cache...but for the price, it cant be beat.

So I got my very own E4300 and paired it with the Gigabyte D3SL P-35 chipset based m/b. I took a gamble that the 4300 would overclock just as good as dad's e4400, and was right. Saved some cash there as well with theis no frills, OC monster board weighing in at an 89% overclock from 1.8 to 3.41 stable!!!. Not bad at all. This system should hold the fort nicely until the next gen cards arrive and its time for a major overhaul.

Very similar results as compared to his more expensive hardware bawhawhaw...haw!!

Check out the second screen in particular. Impressive if I do say so myself...its a bit flaky at those speeds, but stable enough to complete benchmarks and use for everyday tasks.

OH MY..........
A 100% OC on air cooling!!!  Is that with the stock Intel HSF?
It looks like the CPU throttling is switched on, because CPU-Z's reading is at 2.4 GHz,
which would represent what the mobo would have the CPU idling at.

Still, very impressive CPU there, but do not fret.  When my Thermalright HSF and fans arrive,
I will be aiming for 3.4 - 3.5 GHz or so.  Keep the crown warm for me. toothy5
