Greetings. I was wondering if any Trinidadian playstation 3 gamers here can purchase from the playstation store. If anyone can, would he or she be able to tell me how? Thank you.

U need a US credit card or a credit card that CAN be used in the US. I believe Playstation points are available as cards (like Wii and MS points) although i cant be certain yet. But the first is the best option. pre paid cards work too.

In the PS3 thread there's a link to a method you can use to circumvent the restriction on local credit cards by using a virtual credit card. It works.

Thanks for responding. This method seems promising, but I just can't find the link. Might you be able to copy and paste the link? Thanks Smiley

Its using http://www.entropay.com/. Basically you input your personal identification and then load on funds from your credit card. It will give you a Credit card number and verification code, expiry date. The name you use is ENTROPAY USER.

How legit is this?  I ask because I very dearly want that new Bionic Commando: Re-Armed from the PSN Store.

OK, I just tried this and it worked VERY nicely.  I am now happily downloading my Bionic Commando.
As for 'hidden' fees, there was only a small 2.50 US fee to load on 50 US from my credit card.
Not bad for such a service.

PSN Store here I come. Happy

What bout billing address guys?

My ps3 account is a canadian one...

Does entropay allow you to select Canada for billing address or is it US alone etc...?
Do they even give you a billing address?

The virtual credit card generated by ENTROPAY does not have a billing address. It worked for me with the US account with my address as California. It only creates a virtual card with funds in US or GBP so I dont know if the canadian store only accepts canadian currency.

I used the billing address on my card, the Ezone address in Florida that I use for all online transactions.
Worked like a charm.

Well I assume the playstation store would read the entropay card as a regular credit card and just take the funds in canadian...with whatever exchange rates...

As for the billing address for adding the card to your psn account... a fictional address worked?

Yes it did. It defaulted to the address I used when I signed up for the PSN.

That's excellent Apprentice. Just the sort of technical articles we are looking for.

I'll post the content under the "Request for articles" thread, you're ok with that right?

Oh F@(K man!!!

WHY do these companies GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO FUXX0R THEIR CUSTOMERS!!?

What is it?  Is our money not as good as those in the territories where their products are officially released?

Microsoft did this same s#!t when they suddenly 'ps' one day and find that people outside the US shouldn't get access to
stuff on the US Xbox Live marketplace.

Way to go Sony...truly GREAT customer appreciation. Sad
