Playing game for some cash....hadouken!

http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/uponsun/2009/06/devastation_2009_street_fighte.php

Determined to grasp victory, two warriors step onto an airfield unconcerned that a nearby military transport plane maneuvering to take off may disturb their encounter. On the right is Rufus, a fighter whose undulating belly and spandex outfit masks his deadly potential. On the left is Ryu, a wandering fighter from Japan who can toss enough fireballs to make Super Mario jealous. He charges up and tosses one at Rufus to begin the fight. Rufus counters with a flurry of punches. There were ninety seconds on the clock, but they're clicking away with every block, every connect and every second of fierce determination.

Watched the djWHEAT stream all weekend long(its up on his ustream page), it was good, but the matches were meh until late saturday/late sunday.

Tekken finals were like WOW, SFHD was OK, SF4 was kind of a letdown because they didn't seed properly and all the big names fought each other in the first round while scrubs got a free ride to later rounds.

The Final 2 Rounds were pretty cool. John Choi pretty much showed why he was a legend by making it to the finals by defeating Ed Ma's Akuma and having Justin Wong's number when it came to Rufus forcing Wong to counterpick with Abel.

I found that the coverage was really well done and enjoyed it alot. This tournament was just a preview of whats to come, EVO 2009 (which is also streaming live)

That is some 'out-of-this-world' skill by Wong with Abel there.  These guys eat, sleep, and $#!t Street Fighter yes.

Well for Wong I think it's his job, Empire Arcadia is a now a e-sport business.

I honestly think if Choi had played the game for more than a month and knew the matchups, things would have been different. His fundamental skills and spacing are simply amazing, even Ed Ma admitted Choi frustrated him with his spacing (you know how frustrated you have to be to block fireballs with your face?) and Ed is probably the best Akuma in the US.
