Picked up a kindle paperwhite, trying to read more books. Screen is definitely easier on the eyes than a tablet and that 8 week battery life wow.....

Gf got a massive beach umbrella as a Xmas gift but the damn thing blew away and nearly impaled some children on maracas, so yeah a drill base that you drill into the sand and lock to the umbrella

Picked up a pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M30x Professional Headphones. Took advice from the audiophile thread, wanted to get some better sound quality.

Also got a JBL Micro Wireless Speaker. It is pretty good, surprised at how loud it is considering that it is really small. Always wanted a wireless speaker to take to the beach etc.

I bought a small blueetooth speaker for the beach as well. At first I thought the volume was very impressive.

Then I actually took it to the beach.

Wasn't much competition for the roar of the ocean.

You had to be right up next to it if you planned to enjoy any music.

Still love the concept and would spring for a bigger unit in time. One that could do about twice the volume and maybe double as a charger for my smart phone on the go.

Lol even if it doesn't do well against the waves it is MUCH better than my s4 speaker. I like to use it for listening to podcasts while doing chores around the house.

Luckily i had it walked in the first time. Getting it walked the replacement walked in as well.

Amazon sent the replacement before receiving the original as well. No questions asked really. I just have to hope that the person I sent it back with sends it back to Amazon asap.
