Me: *stares*
Customer: You didn't understand me?
Me: Just...just repeat what you said to me again. Please.
Customer: Are those books in that box to bring back?
Me: The one marked "FREE BOOKS, TAKE ANY"?
Customer: Yeah.
Me: *stares again*
Customer: You...didn't understand what I meant?
Me: No, I understand. The box says FREE BOOKS TAKE ANY, as in THE BOOKS ARE FREE, TAKE ANY.

WTMC at being told by the secretary that her privacy filter was stolen right off her monitor.
Was there up to 3pm yesterday afternoon. Not this morning.
Guess someone fine they should be able to see what the secretary is doing as they walk past her desk....

WTMC at my supervisor demanding that i fix 3 computer in 80 minutes without even asking what the issues are with them... becasue they in the office too long. In two of the 3 cases repair will take at least 2 hours.... and I still have to accommodate every idiot teacher and student who interrupts me in my office whole day... I need a f***ing transfer to another school...

I decided to take up a buddy's invie to a cafe in San Juan for SSF IV on XBox. I reach lookin fuh REAL fight. After about an hour mucking about and warming up (and killing damn near everyone in the process), I get straight to the business:

I decided to take up a buddy's invie to a cafe in San Juan for SSF IV on XBox. I reach lookin fuh REAL fight. After about an hour mucking about and warming up (and killing damn near everyone in the process), I get straight to the business:

So today has been such a wonderful day:

- Being blasted by my supervisor for not testing the printers that I had condemned since last year. All of a sudden she decide the need to work working "now".

- Even though current gone, she embarrasses me in front of 10 members of staff because I didn't switch said printers as per her instruction. Mind you, the printer are connected to wireless print adapters, and I was unable to ping them thus making the printer swap a waste of time. No matter what printer you connect to the adapter, it isn't gonna print! Of course, trying to relay this to her is a mudda c waste of time. Did I mention there was no power in the school at the time too? Current went int he middle of troubleshooting!

Finally returning to my office around 11am after liaising with 2nd tier support I go to make a note on my laptop. The laptop - which I left on my desk, in my office int he presence of supervisor and the fat-ass IT teacher - is gone: only the charger  and a vacant space on my desk remains.

I notify supervisor and IT teacher one time. Principal and vice principal are not in school so I notify all 6 deans.

They fail to lock down the school because the principal said that break time passed already. (Hold up: there are TWO security guards at the main gate. Students are not supposed to leave the school at break time. Shouldn't the guards have a record of who left, or intercept students who try to leave the compound?) I heard the deans went around askin if anyone see a laptop... pu**ies!!

I make a report to the St James police station at 1pm. While I'm waiting,  a St James Secondary school girl, just 12 years, comes in with her mother and teachers to report being raped at school earlier this week....

By the time the police are finally ready to come to school it is 2:25pm. School done over. I had to tail the jeep very closely while it cut through traffic. I nearly hit the jeep at one point and had to slam brakes.

Al they do is take a look around my office to see where it was and where it could have been.
Everything is as it was when i saw it missing: the Desktop and school owned laptop are still there, even my charger. But no laptop.


What have me REAL f**ing pissed of is that my supervisor is the HEAD of Maths and IT. I left these two women in the room which probably have AT LEAST $250,000 in equipment in the room, including my laptop. There were NO CLASSES between 7:30am and 10:15 am in one computer lab and none till 9am in the other. The IT teacher had two supervisions for half the time. It implies that these idiots left the freaking room unlocked while I was not there! and these are "IT people"

So far they been very silent about this EPIC FAIL of a breach of security. Supervisor always touting the computer lab area is the most "secure" room in the school. What do you have to say now, huh?

I go stew this weekend, but any rubbish they tell me Monday and they will see the wrong side of me...

All my work gone for school and private. the notes i took form my first day of degree classes.

Gone.

I done tell myself if I catch who ever do it, Is either a near death cutarse plus water-boarding or I prosecuting for jail. Maybe I should sue the it dept for gross negligence.

If it was school equipment they woulda drag me through the coals back and forth..... I strongly considering a transfer from that school.... far too much rubbish for my liking. My hard earned $4000 just jump up and is like nobody gives a shit...

I am certain is she who leave the door unlocked! And she always was to tell me assness about "the lab is top priority". So what happen to securing the lab? Enforcing lab rules? Isn't that a priority too? She been so quiet since this happened.

Don't worry, NEO, I already called the Ministry to ask how to apply for a transfer. But I am waiting to hear what principal and supervisor has to say about the security lapse which led directly to the loss.

Right now even Matelot Community College better than there (even if a school with just 65 students had a prostitution ring broken earlier this year...)
