Street Fighter 4
Development has just begun and the release of the game is more than a year away. No platforms are yet confirmed - a highly stylised animated concept trailer of Ryu and Ken fighting was shown, but no game footage.
on capcom's blog theres a timer counting down, with about a hour remaining..i wonder what that could be about

Ok from my readings over on SRK & Capcom BBS. Most love the new style, Ultima is really selling points over on Capcom's board. I think Inkblot said it best
"To chime in on the 2D vs. 3D debate, I think it's extremely important to maintain the classic 2D gameplay that SF perfected. But I strongly disagree that Street Fighter games must remain sprite-based forever. 3D graphics have matured to a point where you can express just as much creativity and style as a hand-drawn sprite. The trailer proves this."

It looks 'nice', but personally, I would have preferred that they use the Alpha3 art style for the characters.
I'm not feeling this new, bulky look so much, but development has just started, so who knows...maybe
some refinements will be made.
Relaxing some of the timings for the more complex moves/supers (ultras?) would go a LONG way to making
the gameplay a little less frustrating, ESPECIALLY if you're not playing this on a Sony gamepad.

I think its 2D with a 3Delement. The fighting is zoom in zoom out and slight angle changing (during combat and combo's). However the developers are stressing that the game is designed for the fans and they wouldn't want to do anything that would piss them off (assuming they know what those things are).

The game is moving at the same rate as Street Fighter EX3. Not really a big deal with me, but I'm pretty sure some anti-EX people won't shut up about that.
Also, in before SF4 = Hyper Street Fighter 2 Turbo Championship Edition in 3D.

In what could very well be the least surprising announcement since Halo 2, Capcom issued a release today stating that Street Fighter IV would indeed be coming home on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The game promises a return to "classic 2D Street Fighter fighting action mixed with new characters, amazing visuals, and next-generation fluid gameplay."
Returning brawlers to the roster include Ryu, Ken, Chun Li, and Guile to go along with new recruits like Crimson Viper, Abel, El Fuerte, and Rufus. The game is a mix of old school two-dimensional fighting with 3D elements like character models and "camera flourishes."
Street Fighter IV is scheduled to release on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC sometime later in 2008.

Dear God. As nice as that looks, I hope that the brief stops in animation that occur when a character blocks or takes a hit do not end up in the final version. Looks horribly clunky.
Also......ugh. Who designed Rufus? Worst costume....ever.
On the positive side, El Fuerte kicks all kinds of ass. I think he might be my favorite out of the new characters.

Initial reports indicate that Rufus is toooooo good. He has a dive kick ala Yun and Yang but its difficult to counter properly unless you see it coming, not even uppercuts stopping it sometimes.
Zangief is still real good also. I saw Chun Li with her 3S standing fierce, that used to be a big part of my game in 3s so I'm happy there.
Where's Ultima..or is he still analysing everyframe of video from TVC...which btw has Alex looking like a superbeast

well finally Capcom decided to put real alternate costumes in the Street Fighter series instead of just a color change. some outfits are cool (Chun-li), some suck b@!!s (Fei-Long needs pants) and others are kinda weird (was it Akuma who killed Orochimaru?). link below.

everything I was expecting. To pull off combos seems too long and drawn out somehow.
I dunno, I'm not sold on it...yet. I'm still having fun with HD Remix.

bleh....sorry to hear you dont like it. i loooooooooooovin it. IMO PS3 controler phail as well for this game....you need a full on 6 button controller or a stick, especially to play chars like Viper. sadly :( I cant find a damn fightpad

As for the controller, the PS3 d-pad works just fine for me.

PS3 d-pad is good for this but i playing this game on my PS2 controller using a ps2-usb converter. Those trigger buttons are awful for a fighting game and I need my ultra combo. PS2 controller FTW!

Well they did say that it was going to be much smoother online gameplay like the SF II HD Remix that I told you about. I like it ALOT!

Its hardly zero lag, I've found it almost impossible to do anything reversal (reversal uppercut) even vs a 4 bar opponent living 2 streets away (5 bars is a myth :P) .
That couple frames lag hurts :( especially vs zangief where it means I'm getting piledriven if I block. Shiva was telling me he had the same problem.
On the topic of zangief, I haven't lost to one yet, infact in the 10 or so that I faced 7 of them quit after the first round because I was TURTLING so hard with Akuma they couldn't get in and when they did I just teleported out and continue the pattern. Got a few hate messages as a result.

The game is Ok overall. I say OK because I'm sorely disappointed by how frustratingly cheap
the game's AI is, even on medium. I can finish all other Street Fighter games on the hardest level,
but this game is ridiculous. I officially admit defeat from that standpoint, and I'm really not willing
to invest the substantial amount of time/effort it would take to master this component of the game.
The game gets a 3 out of 5 from me.
I will have to stick to human opponents. I don't think my pride can take it anymore.

the AI i dont think is cheap atall...otherwise they would be doing Kick and Throw specials all day.
They like to pressure you into a corner, fluster you and then WHOP a Ultra in yuh tail. This game is NOT made like older SF games, the AI changes with the player. You keep jumping and attacking you will get your @ss grounded.
So far im enjoying the AI gameplay and finding the openings to attack enemies (like Cammy....o gordddd)
Another thing i noticed is that some people are talking about their @ss being grabbed constantly....like 3 times in a row. Was reading a post one guy saying its all about throwing in this game.....not so. The mechanic for throwing is about a 1/4 second faster than what we are accustomed to....and some of these guys can actually grab you at the end of your attack (even if its an ultra) and just drop one on you.
Gives you good proximity when fighting enemies. SF4 is the PERFECT example of easy to play difficult to master.
Dunno bout how PS3 is online...but if you cant beat the AI on medium, Online players will burn you hard! :(
I having my fun now.....for another couple weeks, then im done with it and moving on to whatever else is out. No biggie

Honestly if I played you I'd cuss you for being a cheapo and then not play you again but the truth is the win is all that matters and as long as its not a glitch there really is no "cheap" wins if its a move available by the character.

I only do this vs Zangiefs, partly because 3 piledrivers and Akuma dies. As for the nonfacebook peeps, I'm uploading some more stuff to youtube.

as for the game itself I love it the difficulty is nice medium took awhile to get acustom too,eventually unlocked all on the medium setting and I ran through the hardest setting just today xD..as for online meh alot a mcs use ken oi.

For the PS3 owners is there anyway to play a few matches back to back with someone who is not on your friends list? Whenever I select ranked game to join or host a game after the match it returns to the menu screen.

OK, so I am now finally 'somewhat' comfortable with this game.
Only Seth and Gouken to unlock now.
My initial disdain about the A.I. has been replaced by quiet enthusiasm.

Played Sieryuki some nights ago. He rel good at them cross up attacks. I still playing this game old school, rarely if ever focus attack, hardly ex and ultras.
Slowly getting used to them.
Starting to play with 3 ppl I hardly used before - Cammy, Sagat and Honda. Since Honda get this new throw move he one bad ass player now.

Depending on the character (ie ken ken and more ken) its very easy to crossup in this game imo.

I agree on Honda there. I get REAL blows from a Honda last night. When them "bigmen" start to pressure you. Man does get flustered dred :P.....*does Ryu breathing exercises*
What i do like...is that when the madcatz fightpads are available, i can get one for PS3 and one for 360. That way controls will no longer be an issue, or excuse. When i come to trini i can bring both, and peung with men on PS3 and 360 no problemo and not complain (yea yea but the buttons man....)

ok just read the article thingy, and while they claim zomg new new newwwwww wackyinflaitableflailingarmman move
its like a combination of stuff from the past, ex cancelling into moves, sf3 cancelling projectiles and hits and dashing and ex gaurd breaking. But i must admit to combine it in such a way as to bring all effects into one would be great.
I can see the return of animation cancelling nastiness a la ex + creating a world of headaches.
like hurricane into uppercut into hadouken supers from air. and setting it up with a projectile cancel, dash ,guard break, hurricane, uppercut,supers. *sigh*

I haven't read it either, took out the crappy Ryu figurine and put the disc in the PS3 and haven't opened the case since. Haven't really read that comic mini strategy guide either.
Wow didn't know Honda that move before. Guess it shows how much I or others played with him.

You can't do any of the things that you mentioned there.
Focus attack is essentially 3 things
1) A ghetto parry (you still take damage but absorb the hit, can only absorb ONE non armor breaking hit)
2) A counter
3) Roman Cancel (from guilty gear, cancel recovery from a move)

but from what that tutorial thingy said you can use the animation cancelling to launch into other moves, if its not as bad as ex+ where you could cancel into other moves brokenly so, then cool.

I have seen the AI do the FADC (Focus Attack Dash Cancel) into a 'rush-in' combo, and then link it into an EX move into an ultra combo (with Ken on the hardest level)...that was a little over half of my health bar gone there. My mouth stayed open for the rest of that match. Needless to say, I did not win.
The FADC is where its at. Perfect that, and well, its 'game over' for your opposition.

WRT FADC into ultra that's mainly for shotos, sagat and cammy (sagat and ryu especially gain from FADC -> Ultra). For everyone else it seems like its just for saving your arse when you do an unsafe move that could potentially lead to a big combo from your opponent.

I play Agokillya last night. Wasnt too bad, his sagat was decent. I get to try out the instant cammy EX overhead thing i been working on too
His spacing generally good and he caught me off guard a few times. Going from CRT to Widescreen screwed up my focus attack distancing though.

While a stick is the best thing you could go for, that controller is leaps and bounds ahead of the normal xbox controller.

so far im getting all my semi circle attacks quite effectively. Its a little "wide" like the buttons and d pad seem farther apart than a standard controller. However I've gotten used to the controls quite nicely.
FINALLY i can use all my thunder knuckles with Viper. Now to get used to using them :P

Run amok on the PS3 ranked matches today. Some beastly 2000+ ranked mofos ruffed me up a bit but handled my own with lesser players.
Seems 1 and 2 bars are the most common. Saw like four players with 3 bars. Never 4 or 5.
Will be interesting to see what a local street fighter opponent's bars look like. Someone on TSTT as well.
Also had some fun getting the PS3 to go "NAT 2" using an old speedstream router. Had to make some changes in the NAT/NAPT setting. An option I've not had to touch in life.
Effectively brought down the internet for the rest of the network but let the PS2 go NAT2 wild.
Will try again this evening with a Paradyne and see if it will play nice without the network isolation.

rose lil tricky but practice makes perfect. As for playing ryu, the only other character I had unlocked was sakura. Ain't really start mucking about with other players yet. Gonna unlock everyone today (home sick) and once ryu in rippin' form, I'll start trying other fighters.

I think Sagat is the man I fear the most. Referred to as Top Tier most everywhere online. Fortunately not many people whoring him on ranked matches. Played against more Kens than anything else.
They should have a setting in the ranked matches screen that will filter players by the number of bars.
Take a lil warm up in arcade mode and only be presented with challenges from players with 2 bars and up. That would be sweet.
Nice that you can use the "players more skilled" filter. Points for capcom there.
Still, all the niggling aside. Street Fighter IV online is like finding the Holy Grail for me yes. The dream of the internet has been completely realized. Bridging the gap between all gamers and all genres. Fighters were out in the cold for too long. No more. Welcome to the internet sweat generation.

The system for "more skilled" players is flawed to an extent though, it only determines this by BP and alot of these guys are pretty weak even though their BP is high.
Last night I got a reasonable connection and played against like 7 Seths....it was annoying to say the least, but raging demon takes off like 80% of his lifebar so it wasn't that bad.

Much better than my blink. While quick searching for ranked games, most peeps had 2 bars and quite a few had 3.
Compared to blink, where most had 0 bars and 1 bar. Seeing an opponent on 3 bars was like winning lotto. Even moreso, getting to play against him!

Something I noticed...its WAY easier to set up online matches via Xbox Live, so I guess
I'll be concentrating on this version for online play. PSN might be free, but the online play kinda sucks.
This is a fine example of what Sony needs to do. Unify your online service into a single entity.
YOU control the servers, and the service. I for one won't mind paying, once the service is good...
...and for the most part, Xbox Live is good.

I tried it once on Gears Of War, and it does take quite a bit of tweaking to get the mouse movement just right.
Its either too fast, or too slow. I need to experiment with that a whole lot more.
For optimal use, I suggest using a mouse with on-the-fly, adjustable DPI settings.

So the finals of the US gamestop tourney is tonite, I was listening a stream earlier while playing Arc. The winner is being crowned the national champ of the US and wins a SF4 arcade cabinet.
Immediately following the tournament there will be a 4 man tournament consisting of the US Champ vs Iyo (Japanese Champ, uses Dhalsim) vs Poongko (Korean champ, uses Ryu) vs Daigo (Highest BP in Japan Arcades)

Gears2 lag & slow ass matchmaking (last time i checked)

Well, I'm just telling you what I have experienced so far. Xbox Live online play has been easier to set up and maintain than PSN,
and nothing is wrong with my connection.
Microsoft's implementation of an online gaming service is superior. To deny this is to fool yourself.
Sony should admit there are shortcomings with their version and 'adjust' it to suit.
...and these are my opinions eh. Try not to take it personally.
I'm not just blowing smoke. I own both systems, so I can sit back and take an objective view of both services,
so my opinion after having used both, is that M$ Xbox Live is better.
Your mileage may vary of course. :mellow:

Blizzcon handed out 200 grand in cash to the Starcraft winner last year. They are pro gamers. This is their job.

Street Fighter players don't get anywhere near that, the biggest payout I've seen was 5K US plus in Japan it is supposedly illegal to have cash prizes for tournaments, so most tournaments have no prizes.
For fighting game players it's all about pride.
(except Wong, he'd follow a money on a string for miles, Ultima could probably attest to that)

Let me just say lag is more a product of your internet service than the ps3/xbox network itself.
Personally, I've had horrible lag while using the PS3 on blink vs gamers on flow and international. Blink to Blink was completely lag free. smooth as butter.
Now that I've put the PS3 on Flow, it works great against other flow gamers and international.
So again, the playstation network itself isn't "laggy", the internet service has everything to do with that.
Like Arc says, ain't nothing wrong in Sony realizing the pros of the Microsoft service and stepping up their game to suit. That would be welcome.
Can't beat the fact that the PS3's online play is free.
Not to mention, the systems are much sturdier than the xbox. Failure rate is much lower (by local retailer recounts) as well as easier to repair (lens replacement) if they do fail.

i figured that much. Good thing i have a contingency plan for this evening. The PS3 men might have to improvise a bit more with no voice chat. I suggest to open a text chat with all the people involved and type out the matchups as they go along.

well I at least hope it fixes the disconnect issue. Some people disconnect when they are about to lose to avoid losing their Battle Points (as well as denying the winner his spoils)
I've seen screenshots with a "disconnect" %. So that should at least be of some value.

Championship Mode is not a waste, infact its pretty good given the fact that now playing championship matches ensures that you fight more difficult opponents as you progress through tournament rankings, I had some really good matches with some good people. If you wanna step it up Championship Mode is where it's at, if you want some more features this update isn't really doing much for you.

There are character gameplay tweaks apparently. Sagat can now do his full ultra in the corner and all hits of the uppercut connect. His standing HK seemingly has a little more range much to my dismay.
Fei Long's infinite loop is gone.
Zangief's Lariat hitbox is smaller.

Well I tried Championship mode today on the 360 and its as rb said, pretty cool if you really want a challenge, as n00b as for low ping players, I found a lot of 5 bar players today O_o and the connection was a dream....they must have been in NY or something...

I only got 5 bars playing against locals on flow.
2 and 3 bars is more the norm. Those are fine, no complaints really.
The 1 bar and 0 bar, omg, lag fest 2k9 lol.
While I appreciate a challenge, I would have gotten that and even more with a proper "tournament" mode and not this wshb. (weak sh1t here bring, for the uninitiated)

I agree. Was totally disappointed the the championship mode. Capcom needs to revisit there online mode for Street Fighter 4!!!!!!!! Still love this game!!!!!!!!!

Official release date set for the PC version and also, a released benchmark for the game, to test if your PC is worthy of capcom's fighting behemoth. Ran the test and got an A. Lihixxxxxxxxxx idmc
You also get to play with three different visual effects. Ink, Watercolor and Posterization. Not very impressed but a nice inclusion all the same. Bring on the candy.
The game will be available on steam. They identify july as the release month as well.

those scores seem low for a rig of that power compared to mine.
At 1280x1024 with model and background on high I got over 9000 with an average frame of 57.
I got an old Athlon x2 4200, 2GB DRR2 and a Geforce 8800 GTs. I had shadows on low so maybe if u had yours on high that might explain it.
Also I'm using XP.

As a stand-alone game, Super Street Fighter IV won't be compatible online with its predecessor. However, Capcom has said that the game won't be a full-priced game, and the publisher plans to offer a special bonus to gamers who already own Street Fighter IV.

Just pointing out that reselling is illegal in Japan and SF4 is made in Japan by a Japanese company. Since this has been announced at the TGC Japan I would imagine they released the news without legal implications.
of COURSE there is a huge US fanbase as well, and reselling in other countries is completely fine. What I am interested in seeing is how they intend to pull their audience with an "upgraded" title.
What I am seeing here is Capcom again experimenting with new ideas. Same way the implemented the 15 dollar multiplayer in RE5 is the same why they are doing "upgrades to disc" scenarios.
Not saying this will or will not work, what I want to know is where they getting the ideas saying that it should!

LMAO. Seriously the most practice I get are against 2 other trinis. 3 of us practiced and then went to play with some high level people and make a rell good showin. Goin back again tonight and expect to do even better since we level up since den. Trinidad small enough that a solid scene could come together since everybody relatively close. I remember a couple gg tournies where we had close to 20 people turn out. That's more than most scenes see. People just need to commit to it and support it. Nuh like we hadda drive 2 hrs just to get some local matches in or sumtin. And I hold to the belief that for some reason we naturally more talented than majority of US players. Prez not the only trini abroad who have talent. Every tourney I attend so far up here had people with at least trini roots. We just dont hear about them.

Just read back through some posts and I have to agree with Arc.
Bought SF4 for both PC and PS3.
I think technology has progressed to the point that you can make considerable changes to your title in field.
That was a "PC" only feature and we are accustomed getting that for free.
Consoles have never been able to do that. So Rev1.04a of Street Fighter 2 would be called Street Fighter 2 Turbo and require another purchase.
Now, they CAN!
Granted, only people with their consoles online can benefit.....but DLC already makes a compelling (and field tested) reason for anyone owning a console to hightail it to the nearest net connection for a fix.
Even if they do charge, $5 or so for the added content, no big deal.
If they want to keep the old school console "buy another copy of a slightly modified game" approach as a $$ grab, not much we can do but lament.
Either way, I'm stoked for a more SF4 goodness. Economics notwithstanding.

I thought about if they were to simply do a DLC update a bit and I think I'm fine with the route they took.
1- If they simply did DLC then everyone would be forced to DL it (whether or not they were charging) and that's forcing owners to have a gig or so of sf4 on their ps3 at least.
2- They're changing/tweaking animations of some characters that already exist, based on the code it may be hard to just tack that stuff on meaning the old models may just be come obsolete. The whole framework could become convoluted.

I'm more concerned with no arcade release causing western world gamers to consider it a lesser title than T6 and continuum shift etc.
Either way I'm gonna be on it (and BB:CS and maybe even T6) hard

Stalebread, the DLC could be done in a clever way. At Launch of Title you chose which mode....Standard SF4, or Super SF4.
It probably won't be a delta of 1gb.

Yeah, Dee Jay is done pretty well. Never was a T-Hawk fan though.

They hinted at a lobby mode already. I think they said something like they were looking into HDR's system or something. Hard to improve online in a game that requires so much link timing. They can't take it the direction of BB's I don't think because it would mess with it overall. But I get green and yellows fairly consistently. I also like the Championship mode component already... maybe pushing hosted tournies? Like actual online ones held by capcom? That would be gdlk.
GS at deejay. T.Hawk looks beastly though not my style either. Doubt I'll even play deejay too.. or juri since she's getting so much hype. Keeping my fingers crossed for karin.

I guess 'who the cap fits' would apply here. I'm not THAT much of a fighting game fan to care anyway.
SF4 in itself is a great leap forward, but I won't be 'conned' into buying one every year.
You speak of possible download sizes. We regularly download demos on our very same consoles
that are upwards of 1.5GB in many cases, so I don't really see a problem there. Look at GTA4.
the episodic DLC content alone could have been a brand new game, so it CAN be done.
This is all moot anyway because like Capcom done already bamboozle allyuh head.

Replay Channel -View replays of matches while voice chatting with other players

Network Changes
- Can use Fight Request while you wait for all members of a team battle.
- For a private team match, the host can divide up the teams. Otherwise, it's done automatically.
- Auto team placement uses Player Points as well as some randomness.
- Voice chat available while watching a match.
- Endless Battle has no effect on Battle Points/Player Points.
- In Ranked, Battle Points is divided up into BP/PP - PP will be your overall score, while BP will be character specific.
- In Ranked, you can upload a replay after 3 straight wins.
- Blind character select for all network modes, including no cursor motion sound.
- Preset comments available for entering a lobby.
Gameplay
- New ultras and possible new supers (Shin Shoryuken is seen in an image above)
- Something called Tadan Saving (saving was the japanese name for focus attack)
- S-Kill has said that all characters are being buffed.
Rumors
Expect the return of the many familiar Supers, and a few new ones like Metsu Shoryuken. You'll see the return of Chun-Li's Kikosho (Super Fireball), Gouken's Denjin, Sagat's Tiger Cannon (Super Fireball).
Ibuki has a run command.
Guile has his Sonic Hurricane move from Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
Dudley has his Chain combos from Third Strike, plus one additional Chain combo.
Cody is the only character with an Alpha Counter and he still has his knife. He supposedly needs his knife to perform one of his Ultras.
Rufus can cancel-break the last hit of his Spectacle Romance, or the launch kick of Space Opera Symphony.
Guy has his Chain combos.
Makoto has her Tanden Renki Super from Third Strike.
Zangief is said to have a 720 degree motion Air Ultra called the Siberian Blizzard.
The game takes place one year after Street Fighter 4.
Dudley was searching for his car in Third Strike, in this game he's searching for a rose.
Characters - This list was posted a few weeks before the game was announced.
- Dee Jay, T. Hawk, Dudley, Ibuki, Makoto, Adon, Cody and Guy.
- The new characters are rumored to be: Hakan (Arabic Grappler) & Juri (Works for Sin)
The development team posts updates every week on their blog complete with Q&A/insight on the game and changes they have been making.

Capcom's Christian Svensson said the roster for Super Street Fighter 4 was locked in early when they were working on the game, so there won't be a character poll this time around, but an announcement concerning the new fighters will be made 'soonish'

While the gameplay is really good, the whole package made me want to sell it the first week. Capcom shouldn't have bothered putting movies for the characters; the animation is the poorest (obviously they hired some children to do those movies), so is the direction and script....totally senseless compared to other Street Fighters.
I find that most of the combos are hard to get in that training mode, but that is good because it makes it close to Street Fighter II. I've seen some crazy stuff in the arcades that I never knew could be done. But guess the game doesn't fit me.
After seeing Juri and hearing about other probable characters, and most importantly a new game so quickly makes it unfair. But I guess that a gaming console was not meant for someone who has got his priorities reversed.

There's an option to install some game files to your PS3, thereby eliminating those 'atrocious load times'.

i play the pc version, but studying to buy a console if capcom mudda so and so decide not to bring out a pc version of ssf4. so i debating which console is the better buy.

if yuh jus buyin a console for fightin games ps3 might b better choice since is only 1 type of game u go b playin online and wont hadda study da 50US subscription fee, if on the other hand u heavy into d online scene with all types of games (especially shooters) then 360 wud probably b d better value

I concur. The PS3 controller wins in general for fighting games.
I have both versions, and the Xbox 360 d-pad is horrible, but there
are some people who have no issues with it. If you get an Xbox, then
you may also have to get a Xbox-->PSX adapter if you serious about SF4.

Street Fighter IV has been installed earlier today in Galactica, Gulf City, La Romain. I'm talking about the Arcade Cabinet, if you haven't figured that out. How good are you against the rest in arcade? I'll be heading there Saturday for sure (though I'm not good at any SF because of the joysticks).
I think this is the only SFIV for arcade currently in Trinidad....so.....yay!

That's true. My bro was present during the installation and said he saw the 'Jump In' quote on the Xbox360-look-a-like box. The reason I say look-a-like is because my bro asked the technician if he was using an Xbox360. He said no, and that it looked like the console but it wasn't. The technician also stated that the graphics should also be better than if a PS3/360 was to be used. Somehow, when I heard that I was skeptical.
If anybody knows about that sort of hacking, please explain. My bro works there also, so he says that it's just as if you were playing on a console except that you have no access to any other options in the menu. Characters also need to be unlocked (vids were also unlocked for gallery...bro saw it happen).
Anyways, I should be going there Saturday to check it out. At least the arcade regulars would finally enjoy SFIV with fellow competitors at least.

The arcade version only has 17 characters (ie no unlockable characters) and no animated movies. SF4 runs natively on arcade and console @ 720p so the technician is being stupid. There are coin op mechanisms that being used in cafes abroad for these kinda things.

The tournament scene for SF4 abroad is already huge across the board so the only real benefit is the monies.

Blu Vice you need to understand that having MLG pick up SF4 is like getting Europe to support NFL.. it just won't happen because the bases are different.Generally in MLG they seem to believe fighters should all be along the lines of Smash and anything not along those lines, is fail. They may quicker adopt Tatsunoko Vs Capcom imo.

Personally, I thought it was rather clever for Capcom to introduce Turkish Oil Wrestling into its lineup. It's probably the most original style they could've inserted into the game, and also, lots of potential for comedy there:

Online has been very good so far, with exception of Larry's slower connection causing some lag.. :P otherwise Live does not disappoint. RB? Any comments?

Online has been pretty decent for me but I've only been playing persons with 4 bars or higher which seem to be alot more frequent than in regular sf4. Flow vs TSTT is still an issue (2 bars max) but it's a little more playable than before.

PC release is coming, you can stop talking about if its coming or not, every major capcom release has hit PC in recent memory and regardless of the game being pirated to hell the conversion process will probably be done together with the arcade version which runs on windows xp.

Man what time allyuh does run de SSF4 been running it online for a couple of days on XBL and seriously disappointed with de level ah dem men from de States, I have ran into some beasts in Adon/Cody clothing, got mih ass wash but dat was only because I didnt know how dem new characters does play. Well Guile, Goken, Zangief and Abel is mih peoples but I am also lookin into starting playin Balrog since dem combo yuh could do with dat man real bad.

Wow... all I can say is wow, after an hour long session dis evening I recognized dat I have not been playing against de top tier men. Ran into some good players one after de other just killed my spirit, even when I win it doh feel good as ah not getting de feeling like I dominate de man, feelin like ah lucky lash make me win.

You real got mih bro fired up for dem games, I started playin around Balrog and continued with de constant Guile(since he is mih real hoss), man was ketchin mih ass when you start playin de stranger characters since before my only competition used to play with Ryu, Akuma an dem men. Not really used to playing against El Fuerte so when you had picked him was like ah deer in de headlights... just stuck, but when you pick de Akuma dais more up my alley could give you ah run with mih Guile, all in all it was real good games, yuh give me de inspiration to go an train up, we go meet up again soon after de swelling in my thumb go down from too much swipe.

We've actually tried before, but the flow to tstt connection is awful (like 1 bar laggy). He'd probably beat me with extreme prejudice as well unless I started training or something. Don't really have the time to devote to that right now, so I guess I'm in that play for fun bracket as well.

I just wanted to ask if there is anyone runnin SSF4 even SF4 I spend most of my time playing this game and would love to run against some local people. But I can because I am on Flow and you're on Blink... no problems due to my close proximity to the exchange I get no lag whatsoever to Flow users, already tested that out playing online against many people with Flow.
Normally play Guile but starting to get into Balrog looking to get a 3rd and a fourth.

Not bad... not bad at all man I have to see to get a stick can play with the 360 controller but would much rather get a peripheral that I am accustomed to and can work magic on. Have to say tho wasnt really looking forward to MVC3 that much but I saw some video of it on CrossCounter and wow games looks really interesting, also sweet sweet like ah best ting.

It kinda is a new game as most of the characters have been hit multiple times with the nerf cannon, meaning the way you play the game will change. Most likely the game will come out as a separate title and everyone will buy it and Arc will look upon is with pity and we will bow our heads down and agree.
