Title: Underappreciated PS1 Games #1 - Chase the Express!

I've been having a fine time with PS1's Chase the Express recently, a game which has had very mixed reviews over the years. I wondered if any other Carigamers can recommend any more PS1 games which have been perhaps unfairly maligned?

I couldn't appreciate JRPG's as a kid, and only got into RPG's at all after Golden Sun and Fire Emblem on the GBA. Catching up since then, the most obscure one I've played and loved is the original Valkyrie Profile. It's been ported to the PSP and has had two sequels and a mobile game since then though so not quite as obscure anymore.

Covert Ops: Nuclear Dawn was not well received and frankly I saw why (ie. horrendous voice acting and controls)
but I still gave it a chance and it had some nice action pieces and scenarios. Was notable to me because it felt Die Hard-ish (lone hero in a enclosed environment, with hostiles, hostages, ransom demands, WMD threats)
