Shinobi's Back!

But honestly I have found tenchu to be alot superior in terms of realistic ninja tactics.

I neva got a chance to sit down and play d Shinobi for ps2, but from d 2 mins i played, it wasn't dat impressive gameplay wise. The lock-on feature made it too easy to kill, but ninja wise, dey really made me wanna pick up a stick and pretend it waz a sword and run around hitting ppl

tenchu iz a bad game and is realistc,
but lacks the high speed fighting of shinobi,
plus there is no ''tate''

it only seems easy at first but the real challenge comes along with the bosses  and stages after stage 4

Tenchu is as close to a ninja sim as you could get right now.

I dont really rate shinobi as a ninja game its just blatant action

I do like Shinobi alot.....But Tenchu is THE ninja game

Let's see shinobi try ultra stealth tactics!

I dont really have anything against shinobi but in this day and age as games are becoming more like the things they are based on.

Ninja games should make the step forward as well incorporate more stealth in their gameplay and loose this style and action over substance thing developers seem to be hooked on.

For some serious ninja games go with Tenchu, or Shinobi
For an entertaining ninja game try I-Ninja, a platformer by namco. It will be released in November. Played a demo, it was pretty fun. Give it a try see what you think.

shinobi is good but ninja gaiden is coming and it looks like alot of competition for shinobi.

Ppl makin good points with ' true' ninjas games. Tenchu is definitely one because it emphasises more on STEALTH rather than run up and chop...that wat being a true ninja is bout...
