What was the First anime you ever saw, and got you hooked to it? for me...its Technoman! yea! and well...i still cant remember, and not to sure, but, if ya'll could remember, samurai pizza cats? i think that was an anime...not to sure, but that was real bad too

I've always loved anime, from very young as a child seeing them while visiting family abroad... needless to say I ain't gonna rem half of them. So what really got me hooked on anime was Vampire Hunter D... on Sci Fi when AVM ch 4 used to show sci fi after 12am. From then I really started collecting and looking for anime... must have been 11 yrs now....

Yea for real! AMV, that was real bad! i remeber they showed more like, horror movies (i am ALOT younger than most of yall) and i have been watching/reading (more watching) anime for....pretty much...all my life

i agree with joe totaly,TECHNOMAN iumc,or tekkaman.i got soo hooked i got all d episodes for it,but i dont even watch dem anymore,i realy need to review them :lol:

me and my sis used to watch sci-fi a while back there had cool ole school anime....that got me hooked...
anime movies and stuff...
i never did pay much attention to tecknoman...i sure i misssed out a lot...

After that, was Samurai Pizza Cats...
From there it just grew :)

When I was a kid I loved cartoons; especially Thundercats and He-man. But as I grew up life didn't allow me the Saturday morning in front of fox or CBS anymore so I grew out of it quickly. Needless to say, I have no interest in anime, but I have seen a couple good ones. The first Japanese anime I saw was 8 man after, I loved it. The second was Vampire Hunter D and the third was Ninja scroll. All were good.

I used to be rushing home to watch G-Force and Speed Racer back in the day. But what made these so appealing? I seem to remember consistently begging my dad to borrow "Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors" from the video club whenever we went. I can't even remember if that was an anime, but I'm pretty sure it was.

My first was Samurai Pizza Cats on AVM!!! (OMFG!!!) and next was Teknoman.

it was either teknomam got up early every sunday morning to watch it on tv6, saw all the episodes there too.
or transformers, now that was some some good anime (and i mean the original not no beast wars or none of that mess).

Transformers for sure i remember it was every saturday just after that stupid my little pony crap!
I remember almost all the transformer episodes i still in the process of getting all of them.
i think then it was technoman.
but samuria pizza cats was bad, remember the mad gun that used to shoot them out, and i remember the one with the Katana had like a seret sword stuffed in the sword case, and he used to do like a herculen stance something something, with it and chap together and...i ramblin i done lata

1st one for me was the 'Starblazer' series (Battleship Yamato in Japan). That one was waaaaaaaaay back (and yes, TTT used to hold a nigga DOWN with anime back in dem days). Long before Thunderbirds:2086. Was hooked on all animation with that style of art (now known as anime of course).
1st full length movie that really blew me away: Lensman (still ranks as one of my top 3, along with Transformers: The Movie, and Akira).

secondly the majority of you all calling names of shows that have anime stylings but are not trully anime wich pisses off people who stay true to the artform

and i was well into years at that point
but the one that got me really into anime was a movie on sci fi never got the name to this day would love to find it and akira (yes real bad movie)
