I don't know if this was posted already but who cares....I "acquired" a burned copy of the hit Walt Disney movie, Pinocchio.
Now honestly I don't know what the hell happened to be or why...but I found myself very saddened at the scene when Pinocchio 'dies' and he's lifted up by Gepetto. That's weird...I know I saw the movie when I was 5 but this was the first time I felt truly sad from a movie.....
Anyways....Gatters...are there any movies, at any point of you're lives that made you sad as $#it?
(Please note...'sad' does not mean crying your eyes out and stuff...it can be subtle....like feeling like crap or having pity for the son of a b**** who get's a heap of bad luck)

Man, the end of Gladiator. When Lucilla says, "Who will help me carry him" and everybody comes to pick him up. That is just something else. Is real emotional. Also, in Forrest Gump when Jenny had come home to stay with Forrest. He tells her "I'm not a smart man but I know what love is." You cah help but feel for de man.

As long as we on Michael Bay stuff ... how about Pearl Harbor? I mean, you know one a the 2 guys going to die but when it happen, you can't help but feel a little sad. Ok, I have to also mention a Indian movie, Dosti. I doh usually watch much Indian movies, but this one was one I saw as a kid. It was about 2 boys, one blind and the other lame (as in can't walk properly) and their friendship. I can't think of anyone who see that movie and did not cry. Another one I can think of is the Godfather trilogy. You have to actually watch all three, but when you get to the end of the third one, you feel so sorry for the guy. He just died alone with nobody around.
-
was that At the end?
-
I'm guessing that question was about the Godfather. Yes, that was at the end of Godfather III. When you think about it, the guy was so powerful and he just died alone. It was something else.
-
lol...Actually it waz abut Pearl Harbour
-
Well, jeez. Yeh, it was at the end in Pearl Harbor when Danny found out he was going to be a father and then died.
-
That was actually funny. I laughed my @$$ off!
-
friggin Grave of the Fireflys.
Watch it and cry.
damn man, you jump in and hit the nail on the head one time... you knew it couldn't end well but to see her hallucinating the rocks were food was... whoa...
also this Thai movie Shutter, the kind of twisted happy ending was sad, but you knew he had it coming...
I agree with the poster who said the end of the godfather series... but what about the end of part II? when Michael had the flashback of when everyone was friendly with each other, and look at how things ended up turned out, and for what.
This might not count as its a tv show, but the way the Season 5 Finale of The Shield ended was very sad...
-
Come See the Paradise was pretty brutal for me...
but the first time I can recall actually being bothered by a movie...is the classic, "Old Yeller"
-
The Green Mile...Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind....etc
-
Yeah...I agree.....even though I did not cry for the Green Mile as I did for Pinocchio..the climax was sad. If you read the book however it was worse. The book actually goes more indept after the final execution and it includes the death of the warden's wife....which was actually quite gruesome....
-
Wow i hate you guys for making me watch grave of the fireflies.
Ill never ever everrrr let that happen to my little sister... :(
on a side note.FORKING AMERICA!!!!
-
I think at the end of Saving Private Ryan..I got a lil sad cuz the man went out of his way to get one guy...and ended up dying..but he went down real brave....Really sad y'all.
-
i just seen the green mile too, real sad flick. came real close to crying lol.
-
I jes watch out the Fate Stay Night series and it thought it was a little sad in the end...
