Software, Security, Programming and Internet / Flash Website help
« on: March 14, 2011, 01:23:28 AM »
Ok so I recently started learning flash and I have been working on building a site in CS5 but I have run into a problem that I can't seem to solve.

My site is currently 1000 X 1200 pixels but when I open it up I only see part of the image with no scroll bar.
http://www.villeventuresfilms.com/phastraq/
Even when I preview the site in flash I get the same issue.

This has been driving me crazy for the past couple of days and I am unable to find a solution anywhere online. I was hoping some one of you web gurus can tell me where I'm going wrong.

I want to finish off the site but I am wondering if I may have to rebuild it from scratch to solve this issue.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Ok so I'm building a new machine for professional 3D and graphic design.
The machine should be able to run:
Adobe Suite
Cinema 4D
Nuke
Shake
Maya

I have general ideas on what I would need but I know that the tech gurus on GATT can give me some suggestions to get the best bang for my buck.

Speaking of which I'm starting with $7000 for budget.

I intend to run Win7 X64 on it and audio is secondary to graphics and rendering power.

So what's the best board, ram, graphics card, processor combo I can get for that price range?

P.S. Ignore the cost of software.

I came across this this morning.

A fair and balanced game by my estimations.

Also a lot of good elections related music at the site some a little explicit though so be guided accordingly.

« on: January 21, 2010, 08:55:27 AM »
So what I want to know is other than game & movie reviews, first looks at the latest hardware and the occasional viral video update, what would you like to see in a localized tech show?

Trading Grounds / Web designer / Hosting
« on: January 14, 2010, 09:01:45 PM »
I am part of a media company that is looking to have an online presence and I want to find out how much it would cost me to get a website done. I would require hosting as well.

I may provide most of the artwork for the site and from time to time I would want to update the content.

This would include video, audio and photos. I would Also like to have a blog section and a discussion group if possible but a link to a facebook group can substitute for those.

How much would it cost me and how long would it take (on average) to set up with content to be added later?

Also, is there the possibility of bartering or service trade where I can offer you a media related service(s) (i.e. advertising, video recording, audio production, etc.) in exchange for the hosting of the site?

Mobile Phones & Gadgets / Buying Sony Ericsson F305 Online.
« on: December 15, 2008, 12:48:48 AM »
I just came across the Sony Ericsson F305 online and I want to buy it.

Now I know it's not the latest and greatest but I like this phone. It would suit my needs for a very nice price.

What I really wanted to know is what sites you guys would recommend for me to purchase it online and what kind of experience you have had with delivery.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Mobile Phones & Gadgets / Phone Flashing
« on: November 14, 2007, 02:42:53 PM »
I recently bought a Sony Ericsson k550i in England and it worked great but recently the "applications" and "games" folders stopped working. I am also getting a problem staying on Bmobiles network. I did some research online and i found out i have to flash the phone. I know this will definately fix the first problem but i am also hoping it fixes the second problem as well.

I have all the software I need to do it but finding the firmware to download seems to be a much more difficult task than I first imagined.

If anyone can assist me in the right direction towards finding downloadable firmwares I would greatly appreciate it. I know it voids my warranty but i'm not planning on sending the phone back to England any time soon.

P.S. If you think there is any other way to solve my problems without flashing the phone I am willing to hear. Thanks in advance and I'll be eagerly awaiting responses.

I was thinking of doing some tshirts and polos specifically geared to gamers and the technologically inclined.

Something along the lines of the stuff you see on jinx.com but I was looking for some feed back on what would be appropriate for the local gamer.

I have some sample ideas below so tell me what you think.

PC Gaming / NAME THAT GAME 2 : WORD SCRAMBLE
« on: October 17, 2006, 01:41:40 PM »
I know someone else already made a "Name that game 2.0" and the original game has an unofficial spin off in the form of the "Name That Movie" thread but this is the official sequal to the game that has taken the forum by storm.

NAME THAT GAME 2  : WORD SCRAMBLE

The game is simple.

You just post a series of letters that when rearranged will form the name of the game that people must figure out along with a clue.
The letters should be arranged to show the number of words as well as the number of letters in each word.

For example:  MEEEET TTRSIXR - Puzzle game featuring exciting array of coloured blocks.

The soloution would be: TETRIS EXTREME

As usual you have one week of guessing before the quizzer gives the answer and posts another one.
The exact name of the game should be used at all times including the version.
Whoever successfully gets it right must post the next quiz.

So, without further ado, let the games begin.
