I've been following that gsync situation. You know anyone in Trini who can vouch for it?

My main game is DotA

Kind of want a hands on review before dropping the cash.

But you self...I have a G-Sync monitor, and it is sublime.

Ohhhh, that one is killer, once you have the PCI-E slot.

Best thing about that...you can drop in a larger capacity M.2 drive at any time when you can afford it.
I also especially like the fact that they include a half-height bracket in the package.

Is your rig ready for VR?
The Oculus Rift and the Steam/HTC Vive essentially share the same recommended specs, so a good result in this test bodes well for the Rift as well.

Just search for the 'Steam VR Performance Test' from the Steam store.  It's free.  :)

Of course I had to put the AGR and MGR through that wringer...

AGR

MGR

Everything ready except my wallet.  :laughing7:

Dan...you could post that any bigger...?  I don't think anyone saw it that 1st time.  :(

You'll get a significant speed and bandwidth gain with a PCI-E SSD, so if you can afford it, and your motherboard supports it, then by all means...upgrade.

Carefully study your motherboard's manual with respect to PCI-E lanes though...because using this type of drive will most likely 'subtract' lanes from another interface, like certain PCI-E slots, or SATA ports, so you may find certain things disabled when you use a m.2 slot.

If you're using a drive that actually fits into a PCI-E slot, then you may not encounter the issue I outlined above.

Not an 'evolution' by any means, but damn...it looks hot.

Masterrace lighting brought to you by NZXT.  :)

Based on these 'impressions', it seems that unless you have a big squad to rally, you're better off skipping it 'for now', unless Ubisoft games really rustle your jimmies.

Quite a fair and balanced rundown here though.

Recently got my hands on a sweeeeeet EVGA SLI bridge...

Only learned after I got it that it lights up.
Sadly my cards aren't on that very short compatibility list.
Not a problem...my side fan would block it anyway.   :)

And so...the MGR has evolved again. New digs.

Before...

After...

The Fractal Design Define Nano S is a real joy to work in. It has all of the benefits of small form factor, with none of the compromises.
If anything the PSU was almost too large, so any potential buyers, keep that in mind if considering this case.
Of course, by no means is the Corsair 250D a bad case, but I just think the Nano S makes better use of space in the traditional ATX layout.

Next step...install some NZXT Hue+ RGB lighting...if I can ever get one. The thing is never in stock.  :(

Hmmm...
I have an upgrade idea for my HTPC using the Fractal Design Define Nano S.  That Kraken will work splendidly up front.

Put me down for that Kraken.  :)
Month-end we shall organise.

Played out the prologue...well I never run so in a game before or since.

Didn't even have to fight the 'boss'.  Threw some firecrackers at a gas canister thinking they would ignite it, and he sledge-hammered it, blowing himself and another zombie da f&#k UP!!!
Hear nah... I laugh till I nearly get a SEIZURE!

Techland is onto something here.

Do not walk... RUN and buy this yes.

Well I finally got this one.

My lord...this game is serious business.  It is SCARIER than Dead Space 1 and 2 COMBINED, and that's no mean feat. Them Dead Space scares was legendary.

I'll try to put up a vid of some gameplay, if I can.

If you see this one on sale...DO NOT STICK!

When you've gamed at 144 Hz with zero input lag, or screen-tearing...you won't go back to 60 Hz.
