is alot of supremist propaganda being spread, usually placing white as supreme over all others, and if not, american over all others...whether fiction like this recent avatar or even movies with more historical basis. E.G.: they make a movie about ugandan pm which is based on some fact, yet still the main protagonist had to be a white man who managed to infiltrate the pm's camp/family etc. how would u like it they made a movie bout the history of steel pan and the story was mostly about a white man named larry who was spree simon best friend and called it legend of the steeldrum(or something like that u get my point)?
but to answer ur question arc, my prob isnt that the lead man was white, obviously if i make a movie in trini i wouldnt have the star lookin like tom cruise, my argument lies in the fact that they continuously portray other races as being incapable as doing things themselves, solving problems themselves...in avatar's case i mighta let it slide if all the naavi werent portrayed by non white actors, u kno then i woulda thought race was unimportant, but the fact that was important and considering the same premise of other movies where non whites incapable i was alarmed.

There was a comment made about COP, implying they handed Manning the election, let's get something straight, the 20% (which isn't an INsignificant %) that voted COP + the UNC vote would NOT have won them the election so if that's where you were going try again. Secondly, the fact that 20% of the VOTING populace voted COP speaks VOLUMES of the desire for CHANGE that ppl want, sadly that same 20% is NOT a concentrated 20% but rather spread ALL over T&T. Dare I say INTELLIGENT or EDUCATED ppl did NOT vote for the same OLD regimes that have been bickering and sneering at each other using RACE as a weapon of opinion sway. I make no apologies for COP NOT having a charismatic leader OR a leader that has resorted to legal voter padding over the many years that their votes and BOUGHT AND PAID for YEARS to come.
I am glad Kamla has won as the silver fox is too senile to realize is irrelevant and the other SNAKE is exactly that. Just as a zebra/tiger cannot change its stripes, neither can a snake change its reptilian ways. I hope this breathes new life into the UNC because the PNM with it's majority seats and capitalistic/socialistic way of selling out the country needs REAL competition and neither of the OLD goats that currently LEAD or wished to LEAD AGAIN this nation are fit.
Too bad we can't do like policitians are pets, when they sick, old or just plain costing too much you put them down.

aside from the story of the North American Indians (aka pocahontas) what were the racist undertones exactly? I normallyp ick up on these things, did not see them here though.
the usual...the white man have to save the day as usual, this time similar to 10000bc kinda level - u mean to say he there three months and he unite basically the whole planet. so what they couldnt come together for themselves? of course not, they had to wait on the white protagonist to come, quick study their culture and of course messiah them to victory. all of the main aliens depicted were non white actors btw jus some food for thought

it doesnt matter who's behind it tho or by wat name u choose to call them but there's alot of things goin on to try to brainwash society and it goes beyond simple symbolism. they manipulating the masses and we're generally unaware lol, yeah, that secret thing is scary. Uncanny how well it works.
although jus some additional food for thought(was having this argument wit my bretherens the other day) what i been thinkin is suppose that all these conspiracies are developed by the real conspirators to ensure confusion, u kno to sort of having ppl lookin in one direction, even those who suspect the scene would be lookin into empty mysteries bc they all work uncannily well..jus food for thought
