Ping was 46ms down speed 264 Kb/s up speed 104Kb/s
I called and they talkede through it. I had to remove a bridged network and delete my dial up connection just to be able to connect via the cable. They then reset the password.
Speed is good now but now the laptop gave s message ip conflict. So now internet is fast but i cant connect to online game servers. And on the ipod i have to change protocol to http since soccet stoped working

i got the 1Mb/s internet package 3 days ago but i have been getting speeds of 30KB/s consistantly over the three day period, this is 25% of what i should be getting . Is this normal procedure? i expect that i would not be getting the full 128KB/s but 30 seems like a ripoff. And it has been consistant over three days under varying times and conditions, its been a constant 27 t0 32 KB/s download . The upload speed is also slow but an acceptable 15KB/s i believe max for the 1Mb package would be 30 ish

microsoft + inhouse hardware = disaster. just wait for KINect's underwhelming sales too :p, in hardware they are always a day late and several dollars over a good price. the xbox was their only decent hardware and it was plagued with countless issues. To me this is KINda good news it goes well with the news of the recently found flaw in iphones that the new bill gates [ read steve jobs] is shocked to discover even existed. And some people thought Palm was the king of strange and ineffective ad campaigns when you have a decent concept or product. They never recKINed that the big M would be crowned KINg lol

i need a machine just to get typing and general office type work done and check email now and then while doing work.
i am looking for a low cost solution. battery life is not a concern of mine neither is age of machine. once it can run when plugged in to a wall it dosent even need to have a functioning battery. it must be able to run windows xp reasonably efficiently though so at lest 256 mb of ram. processor speed is unimportant once it can run microsoft office 2003 with no major lagging
