Holy crap. This movie was awesome. I don't remember much of the original (I maybe saw it a couple times) but this was something else. It was also very, very colorful. If you suffer from seizures or motion sickness, this is not the movie for you. Also, be prepared to leave your brain at the door. However, bring your heart ... especially if your heart has a thing for racing. You are guaranteed to leave at the end of the movie with a smile on your face. If not, chances are you brought your brain ...

Not that it really matters (to me anyway) but critics seem to really like Iron Man. Rotten Tomatoes, which averages most major critics' ratings, gives the movie an amazing 94% score. This makes it the highest rated movie of the year so far and the highest rated comic book movie ever. These are the current highest scoring comic book movies, again according to Rotten Tomatoes:

Spider-Man 2 (2004) -- 93 percent
Superman: The Movie (1978) -- 93 percent
Spider-Man (2002) -- 90 percent
X2: X-Men United (2003) -- 87 percent
Superman II (1980) -- 87 percent
Batman Begins (2005) -- 84 percent
X-Men (2000) -- 80 percent
Hellboy (2004) -- 79 percent
Superman Returns (2006) -- 77 percent

Is it only me that thinks it's a sad day when a game called "Grand Theft Auto" is breaking every sales record on the planet?

The only sad thing, IMHO, is that some sales are from parents buying the game for their underage kids. Also, I find it strange that games are put under so much more scrutiny than movies. You will find underage kids in R-rated movies very often yet a video game that is rated M is somehow different or worse.

This is a great start to the summer movie season. The movie was badass, Robert Downey Jr. was perfect as Tony Stark, the effects were amazing and it was really funny. To answer the comparison to Transformers, I think it is on the same level. Granted, I had almost no previous knowledge of either before the movies (Iron Man only in Capcom vs. games), so I can't compare them to their source material.

I didn't want to give away too much in my mini-review so I didn't go into much detail. De movie definitely gives me a much nicer image when I hear the word "Sparrow" now.

So, however good you think de movie goin to be ... It a hell of a lot better. The movie had the whole place laughing out loud for a good minute or two straight in some parts. Plus, you get to see the dream match up, of course. Bottom line ... By the time the movie done, you go have a big smile on your face, whether you like kick ups or not.

*********** Spoiler response **********

I thought it was cool that he saved the tiger and the favor was returned. Also, I thought it was a nice touch that the old mother gave her last breath to save the girl. Finally, I give major points for him actually killing the "Almighty" with his spear when Leonidas, a big bad Spartan, missed with his throw in 300.

I just came back from checking this out. It was real cool and surprised me in a good way. I not too sure about the historical accuracy, though. The action was good with a decent story behind it. The actress was really hot as well. A nice bonus was a chance to see new trailers for Iron Man, Hancock and Dark Knight. To sum it up in one word: Yahallaa.

The thing about  the show is the more i watch the less i believe the story that Sarah Connor died from cancer, seems like a front but it might be to early for me to start jumping to conclusions.

Nintendo Wii U / Re: Everything Wii want to know about Nintendo Wii

I'm waiting for a Nintendo approved charger before I get one. With Wiimotes going for $40.00, it's not worth the risk using something else. I didn't know you get a nunchuk with Zelda. Is that Twilight Princess? Maybe I'll do it when I'm getting my next 2 sets of controllers (to complete a set of 4).

I finally got a Wii!!!!!! I was in Best Buy yesterday lookin to get a prepaid Xbox Live Points card and I noticed a lady with a Wii in her shopping cart. I asked one of the blue shirt guys and he said that they have a bunch of them. I grabbed one up instantly along with Wii Play (for another Wiimote), another Nunchuk, a couple 2000 Wii Point cards and an Energizer battery charger (it came with 4 AA rechargables). Needless to say, I forgot about the Xbox Live Points card. I bought a few Virtual Console games: Paper Mario and Sin and Punishment for N64, Lords of Thunder for TG16, and Punch Out and Super Mario 3 for NES. All in all, a very nice day.

By the way, has anyone checked out the Wii weather and news channels? They are truly something else. Just for the hell of it, I went in and set them up. The weather channel is nice with current weather for your location (or any other) but the news channel is amazing. I like how it displays a ticker on the channel preview screen with news headlines. When you go in the channel, you start to see the really cool stuff. If you click on a news article, it displays at a standard size. You can zoom in and out and actually see the words rearrange themselves on the page. Very cool. Also, on the right is a map with the location of the article's subject matter. You can select it and zoom in and out on a map of the world. This map shows different areas with stacks of paper representing the number of articles from those areas. Of course, all this is a lot more interesting when you actually try it. So, for all Wii owners who have not played around with channels, I recommend that you do just to experience it.

Hmm ... I will have to keep an eye out for this patch for Lair. If the game is actually playable, it may be worth getting (as one of the PS3 exclusive titles). This IS Factor 5 we're talking about, so analog controls like in their previous outings would kick serious @$$.
