Sony was win with the free games announcement. None of the competitors offer that kind of value on their online networks. Just $50 for a year and you get literally hundreds to thousands of dollars in free games and content. Also beta access for most big games etc.
I don't have to spend a cent on gaming til the Fall season of games yes.
As for the games of E3. I agree with allyuh and the overload of titles.
Watch Dogs was so much win! and I think Assassin's Creed 3 is my most anticipated game for the year, and also the Vita AC3 with the female lead assassin!!
These free games isn't a E3 one-off eh. Next month a next wave of FREE games coming!
When I bought an Xbox last year, I didn't think much of the subscription cost. But today, it burns, it really burns. Coming from free online play on PSN to Xbox Live.
So what I've done is let the gold subscription expire, and when it expires, there's an ad on the dashboard that offers you 1 or 2 months of Xbox Live Gold for $1usd/month. So then I renew on that price, cancel automatic renewals. Let it expire again, and take the deal again. LOL 12 months gold for $12. I could handle that cost.
^The game definitely doesn't overwhelm you when you start playing it. You don't log-in to see a billion buttons on the screen and don't know wtf to do. It has a very simple interface, and again I plea those that never tried MMO's, please consider this one.
Next Beta weekend starts on June 8th - June 10th. Pre-purchase to jump in!
Blink is the laughing stock ISP on PSN. lol Basically 95% of the people I play with on PSN use Flow. The 5% of blink users experience severe lag when connecting to the Flow users. It's like when a man join a game and everyone has a good ping but he doesn't. The first question asked is, "yuh on blink ent?".
So in a nutshell, if the people in Trinidad you play with are on Blink, go with blink otherwise a majority of who I know, and I'm gonna assume that's reflective of the whole of T&T, use Flow for PSN.
LMAO @ .gif and kitteh! Treyarch is awesome. I know many people disliked some things in Black Ops, but I find that one was the best balanced recent CoD game. Enjoyed it a lot...Will be getting blops 2. All the above articles and information, are enough to see that CoD is getting a well deserved overhaul.
Beta is going great so far! Aside from the occasional server going down...like a few minutes ago. Other problem is the beta isn't hardware optimised, so pc resources are being used retardedly. 20% cpu usage and roughly the same gpu usage with a slow framerate. OtherS getting mixed results, 100% usage etc. etc.
Overall though. This game is fun. I've become attached to it through the Beta. I just hope a bunch of people from GATT choose to jump into it. Can't keep ignoring MMO's guys. Millions play them for a reason. They are fun!
Some screens I took: (Look at my preddy elementalist! )
Well a bunch of my guildmates and friends pre-purchased Guild Wars 2. I thus followed. The first Beta Weekend starts next Friday with the game client set to be out for download sometime soon.
Buying the game now at full price gives you access to every beta weekend til launch + a 3 day headstart before launch date. The funny thing is there still isn't a launch date lol...but it's coming!
Tempted to do the pre-purchase myself. Any of ya'll pre-purchased?
While not a masterpiece obviously, it was entertaining. A step up from Clash Of The Titans.
The last 30 mins was the best part. The battle with Kronos was longer and more satisfying than that of the Kraken . Though it seems they tried to pack a lot of ideas etc. into the short running time which kinda bogged it down. Still didn't regret it.
They showed the trailer for Prometheus in 3D before the movie. Mind = blown.
For me personally, I'm tired of being disappointed with book adaptations being sub-par and not true to the source material. For that reason, I've accepted that no movie could ever fully capture a book's content. I enjoy the movies for what they are, and overlook the differences.
The movie has to be REALLY bad for me to complain about it. At least for The Hunger Games, they did a great job.
@ Mez, yes I'm reading and seeing what you mean by the main character being whiny in the 3rd book. Hopefully that's a change they make in the movie when it comes lol.
Anyway, to those that see the film, I recommend reading the book. As mez stated, you'll read the true "hunger" in the games and more detailed, somewhat graphic violence that they hid in the movie for a PG-13 rating lol. Do not go reading that book expecting Tolkien quality literature though...It's not the best written novel by any means.
