Mobile Phones & Gadgets / Re: Windows Phone 7
« on: March 09, 2012, 04:45:45 PM »
I usually say that all phones usually can do pretty much the same things.
But one thing i've always found about my windows phone is that the transition from using non touch screen phones, to the WP7 has been a very natural one. The interface, and buttons/layout make it that much easier to use a touch screen than the other touch screens i've used.

The big thing that made me get one is;
I'm a Microsoft technology and .Net developer. So developing apps for the WP7 is my main concern, and the fact that I can write my own apps for it easily is pretty nice.

Look out for the app that i'm working on in the next 2 months or so :D

Software, Security, Programming and Internet / Re: Windows 8

I Honestly don't see Windows 8 as a Desktop PC OS so much though...
It makes more sense on laptops (touch screen), tablets and those hybrid types of devices.
(In my opinion they are smart... because it means that it won't cut into the Windows 7 market for desktops, which is still going strong afaik)

Graphics Cards / Re: Re: NVidia Kepler series

More than likely most ppl CPUs will be the bottleneck here.
Also considering it's PCIe 3.0, most ppl may have to upgrade their boards as well (I know i will), if they want to unlock the true potential of the card (i'm talking about the GTX 680).

I will not be upgrading for a while...

The scary thing is that mobile viruses will probably have access to a lot more than they had access to on one's PC...
Location, phone number, credit card info, possibly even listening, or recording conversations, and the list can go on...

I actually think that this will help the industry.
And hopefully it will improve the services we consume. In fact i'm hoping that the increased demand for legitimate material may cause some "droppage" in price

What are the costs like?
If anyone knows... i'm interested in attending.. just for fun

Game Theory / Re: Gaming chair project help
« on: January 22, 2012, 07:59:39 PM »
cool project. i've always had a bunch of problems with those chairs. I'm in the middle of doing some work at the moment, so i will give a more detailed report later. But the major issue i have is WIRES. I hate wires running around the room, especially when the chair is in the middle of the room, so the wires becomes an eyesore, or worse... an actual sore.

Doh be hatin on the Bizkit.
To this day Wes Borland is still considered a creative legend with the kinds of riffs he came up with.

Yeah lqd nailed it mostly.
The main reason I started getting high end cards recently is that i've been able to set aside the $ for it due to better job etc.
