Moding you Motoroa Phone

Hey so anyone into phones and brave enough to do some modding?
i've done alot to my lil Rokr actually killed the first one and had to buy another  but say what daz ow u learn eh!
now my Rokr is all tricked out with different software from the original alot more skins the volume has increased so now it's way louder even have new startup and shutdown screens.... i know everybody running down the sony erricson but u can do alot more with moto... das why i love my lil rokr...

 i did extensive research into modding my razor and collected all the reading material+ software needed, but in the end, the really ridiculously limited amount of memory on the fone prevented me from wanting to go thru all the effort


been planning to get myself a v3m ( the verizon version of the v3 with the bigger stock memory and the expansion slot for micro sd but retaining the same form as the v3 so yu dont have to get an ugly v3i)

hav you tried to install new firmware on it ?

-better camera
-some games added
-FinalFantasy skin
-8+mbs
-about 1 hundered wallpapers and alot of d latest soca songs

I had a v551 b4 but i killed that (literally)

Hey glad to see i am not the only one who did over the rokr. Agreed about the SE phones, the rokr can do so much more, and with the new itunes u can put over the 100 songs. I have the milk skin and it looks so sweet and the quality of my gain table combats many mp3 players! currently usin a gig so it come like the nano 1gb







i got these from the net cuz that is the skin i using but my phone is a bit different from the pics but i doh know how to take the screeenshots from the phone itself, i can ensure though it looks sweet. PS love yuh skin dude whats the name??

yeh I did things to my firmware I actually downgraded my Bootloader and phone from a Rokr to a E398 which I think is much better cause it can do everything the rokr can do and it has alot more skins and mods...

-My volume has been increased
-Itunes 100 cap removed
-unlimited video recording
-Camera quality improved
-Speed of phone improved
-Changed Startup and Shutdown screens
-New event Lights w/flashlight

I have the FF7 skin also and NFSU it real mad.....

you can goto http://e398mod.com the latest firmware is 49r DO NOT INSTALL 79r IT WILL LOCK YOUR PHONE!!! that is how I killed my first phone but I would recommed 46r or 48r they are stable, I have no problems with 48r

aye fellas any one ah allyuh could tell meh what file is the menu for the skins in ah v3, or give i ah point in the right direction where to look?
it have some old skin options that eh there no more i just want to take them out

well it more or less i want to know if it have any way to edit it (the menu for the skins) save the hex/seem editors...i cant find any appz to do it on moto modders and thing so i stick.

I had put in a few skins for my sister and removed a few with no problems but i had renamed one using skin manager 0.21 but thing is it didnt remove the old menu option...

i.e.

i have skin1 that was renamed to skin 2, but there is options for skin1 and skin2 in the menu...

i think there is a program called skinner4moto that allows you to edit everything in the skin including the menu

im not sure tho cuz ive neva really used the program
