That Trailer was like WOW, they make it look like Batman gone all Jihad on dem criminal, and a hope that after seeing the late Ledgers performance, ppl will pay a great homage to his last great, and probably greatest act on film that may set a new standard for character potrayal in movies...

So, I am going to be out of the country (the country being USA) when the movie is released next week. I will be in Italy for 3 weeks. A reliable source there tells me that it is not being released (in English) there until September. So ... I will be a couple weeks late seeing it. Ah well ... at least I get to see the Colosseum.

Lol...TDK currently has a 9.7 rating on IMDB and is #4 in the top 250 films...is that hype or what? Would be so awesome if it wasn't though.

Gettin ready to head over to the IMAX here in Orlando to see it at 9 am. This was one of the few times that was not sold out. I ended up taking the day off.

So ... I goin to try not to post spoilers. Feel free to jump past this post in case I slipped up. Everyone who sees the movie is going to go on about how great Heath Ledger was. What I came away thinking was that Christopher Nolan is a certifiable genius. Not that I had any doubts before, but this movie just enhances that train of thought. All the actors were superb. One thing to note if you are planning on taking young children is that the movie is extremely dark in nature, even more so than Batman Begins. Iron Man has met his demise. This is the new champion of the year. I'll leave this mini-review with three words: Expect the unexpected.

Wow...I thought by now the rating would drop on imdb but it actually went up to #1 on the Top250...with around 45k votes. Yup according to voters this movie is now better than The Godfather, lol. Let's see how long it stays there.
