This is the car that has been confirmed as the new Knight Industries model Two Thousand.

Pretty aint it?

Its a Koenigsegg CCX (no, I've never heard of em either). Apparently Koenigsegg is a Swedish
supercar manufacturer thats been in the business for a little while.

The car has a wicked 4.7L twin supercharged engine, which propels this Kevlar-reinforced carbon-fiber beast from 0-60 mph in 3.2 secs.
Oh yeah, and it costs $650,000 US to boot.

Impressive. I would have thought an American maufacturer would have gotten the nod.
The new Knight Rider series itself is set to air sometime in 2008, after a two-hour pilot.
I wonder if they'll have a whole new storyline, or will it be connected in any way to the
old series. One thing that HAS been confirmed is that the car will be able to 'shape-shift'.

now its the bugatti veron
i would have really rather have scene the bugati as the new kitt though but very nice anyways.

they Veyron is faster in top end but its a luxury sports class and the fastest in the world.....408 kph

I suppose it goes without saying that only the disgustingly rich can afford this car.
The question is: other than Germany, and maybe Japan, WHERE will you find roads to drive this
thing when you buy it?

I think money is better spent on a helicopter and hire someone to fly it for you, but I think that people who consider buying this car isnt to concerned aboutvalaue for money.

During its review of the CCR's successor, the CCX, BBC television program Top Gear reported that the Koenigsegg CCR holds the fastest speeding ticket in the United States, which allegedly occurred in May 2003 in Texas. It was supposedly 242 mph (389 km/h) in a 75-mph zone. The car was involved in the San Francisco to Miami Gumball 3000 Rally. The driver, Arthur Chirkinian, was arrested and the car towed. His co-driver paid his bail and they retrieved the car from impound. While trying to catch up to the other gumballers the driver noticed smoke from the engine and his oil pressure was low. He pulled over to find his oil cap had gone "missing" while it was impounded. Arthur Chirkinian hitched a ride to the local Volkswagen dealership where he purchased a brand new Volkswagen Beetle and drove it to where his CCR was parked. He filled the CCR back up with oil and took the oil cap off the Beetle and put it on the CCR as that is the only oil cap that would fit his car. He then took off in hopes of catching everyone else, leaving a brand new Beetle on the side of the road with the doors unlocked and the key still in it. He caught up to the pack later that night in New Orleans[citation needed].

to above poster.....if money is an issue...then you shouldnt be buying this car or any supercar for that matter.....similar to the ferrari slogan

Shape shifting expensive @$$ car... sounds like a certain serpentine show of yesteryear.. with the whole shapeshifting... I just wonder if they will 'hassle the hoff' or if they'll start over from scratch

WTF!!? I think the CCX would have been a better look for a 'new-age' KITT, but what does

Yea of course, they had to flex their American GAS GUZZLING Muscle since Ford is not even doing well financially, they try to advertise their product on TV hoping that the young american fools will want a KITT of their own and go running to a Ford dealership to pick one up...PFFT!!
