I THOROUGHLY enjoyed Watchmen, btw (except for when they killed my boy, mc, mc, mc). I went for brain food and got it. It was a nice take on the super hero thing.

However... Transformers 2, first day, Globe POS, 4pm for me in a nutshell: I went to see 1. big ass robots 2. have big ass fights and 3. fuh REAL old noise from whorish, bad-behaved chirren of the 80's everytime Optimus Prime introduces himself during a monologue (myself MOST included).


Check, check and CHECK. My money's worth right dey. Best $15 I EVER spent in my life... EVER.

@ W1intry - you're right, all movies do have source material, some more than others. I really forget some of those movies had novels yes. I was just typing off the top of my head. Take win there.

Still though, doesn't change the fact that they are movies that had set high standards for the way they blend plot + effects.

the good: action, explosions, CG, explosions, fight choreography, explosions.

the bad: everything else.

the movie did it's job as far as entertaining us, but it was shallow no a$$. it being based on a cartoon or toy is no excuse for poor writing. if we still lived in the 80s, this would definitely be a classic, but it's 2009. we expect more from our movies in terms of writing. anyone who says otherwise was just mesmerized by all the purdy. onto Avatar everyone!!!!

At the end of it all arcman, win an those ecstatic supporters of the film thoroughly enjoyed it and are happy that they saw it and enjoyed it.

Live in your anger, dissapointment, hate, happiness that it sucked, glee whatever...
But I loved the film... And that all that matters to me with regards to Transformers 2.
