So its me again, your Tourney Team member Jdcrys_Shinkuu. Here to tell you about a great no wait i need to make that GREAT Gaming Cafe in Arima. Cheetah Internet & Gaming Cafe, (Finally a gaming cafe that has GOOD machines...) Pricing $10 an Hour $6 Half Hour.
With flour on the rise these are also great pricing for the specs yuh gettin...value iymc
The Specs are listed below. As well as the initial game list....Doh worry fellas DOTA coming soon, the techie who setup the cafe didnt have War3 so im helping out here.

Years I ent hear someone talk about dey oui!

But coming back to the actual point...some things in there sound like they weren't needed, while other parts should have done better.

Cases in point:

Why the DVD-RW drives? A cafe won't need those drives directly for client machines...

Why only 1GB RAM on the gaming rigs? 2GB should have been considered (especially how cheap RAM is overall)...
I have slight concerns on the video card as well for the gaming rigs, but I suppose it's still passable in the meantime.

Other than that, things looking pretty decent for the time being...but only thing I didn't see mentioned: how many systems present in the GL?

thats ok specs for a high end price

2 gigs of ram or more should be the spec

8800 gt not 8600
more than 160 gig hd

Come on guys, its a start. 8800 GTs not exactly that cheap eh...still.
I guess when the prices come down some more, they'll upgrade.

The specs are ok. DVD-RW drives are cheaper than what combo drives used to be a year and a half ago. Hell, most suppliers dont even stock cdrw/dvdrom or combo drives anyway so that point is moot.

The only other thing is the memory...should have been 2gigs, no question about it and as was pointed out, its a negligible increase per machine. Don't look for ddr2 prices to drop any further...they're only gonna get more expensive from this point...so dont wait for "price to drop".

The video card is more than sufficient. It will hum along nicely with COD, Assassin's Creed and everything except Crysis, and even that will play nicely at 1024x768 medium graphics.

Hard drive is ok, will only come into question if more games are going to be installed...but wheneach game is like 10gigs, that might be a problem in short order.

Cheetah Internet Cafe:
Machines running great even the non-gaming machines holding the down the scene ok
There's 21 machines I believe. The atmosphere is cool and the pricing is being worked out on account packages so it's even cheaper for us. Also console gamers have their own to look forward too as i was told some 360's i believe are expected within the week. The management real helpful in terms of giving out info and has no problem with making hours to suit the gamers. All hardware is new and even the lil webcams look cool.

So in my books
This cafe = Major Sweatage.
P.S i even gettin a free trial right now(which in no way influences the things i say here)

Very cool , there is also an arcade with about 5 Xbox 360s in the area as well.. I'd come to run a few sweats myself , but i'll end up bouncing up a certain someone who i promised never to meet again for life.

Decent PCs , compared to the geforce FX other cafe's running in arima , there is no competition .

My only criticism is : You should have spent alot more on the graphics card than on the CPU , a cheap 1.8ghz Core 2 duo and an 8800gt would do a better job for the same price .

Standards have always been low in arima , me and my partners had to reinstall warcraft ourselves every few months in different cafe's if we wanted to sweat . Lag and crashes were common.

Hope this changes things for the better.

Yea man thanx all for commentry...
The Warcraft III coming through this week more like during the week...
Since i am on the GAMRZ committee for WinTV we usually cut off around 6ish so im there @ 7pm. on Sat. However i know the DOTA is a big game so no stickin there...

Also the owner have alot of ORIGINAL FOOTBALL GEAR... you name it she has it...
and better yet... She's giving a package for Original Football Gear towards a tourney to be held at a date to be announced. As soon as i work out all the kinks... Plus i intend to bring back the kinda Overnighter Sweats we used to get down sns... good clean fun man...

I have not spoken to her as yet but the general idea is to use ths systems as is for now n upgrade later. Besides its an XP SP2 OS systems not Vista...
