A tradition back on one of my forums.
Every end of year we start a topic and post the highlights of the previous year.
In point form, everyone point out what they remember most about the past year, and you'll be surpirsed at how much you forgot.

To kick things off with the most recent things in my mind:

1.) Barack Obama as President
2.) Mumbai Attacks.
3.) United States in Recession, rest of world joining one by one.

1. I remember 2008 was supposed to be "Year of the Playstation".
2. The fall of HD-DVD and the shock and awe during CES2008 in early January.

- price of everyting just going up, esp food
- lvl traffic jam after 2 days of heavy rain and flood in POS
- insane amt of PC games in november (still ent even play half of them yet)

1. This PC
<----- Ordered early in the year (already gfx and ram upgrade happening on my return to Cali) followed by a 25 inch widescreen 1080i/p Samsung 20k:1 contrast monitor and Razer mouse/kb
2. the RROD of my 360 followed closely by the chip failing of my PS3 (both under warranty, free repair/replacement...so g2g)
3. BLIZZCON 2008 and the job interviews that followed
4. The falling in and out and in and out (for now) of addiction into WoW.
5. the RETURN of co op gameplay to gaming (left4dead, Resistance 2, World at War, Gears 2, Castle Crashers...list goes on and on)
