And please don't tell me to just buy a desktop, i'm a student, i don't work, in 3 yrs time i'll be able to afford the pc of my dreams 512GB RAM, 5.8 GHz 64 Core Processor, 10 GB 12750GTX graphics card etc lol) Also, plz tell me the order of importance of PC components for gaming.

steups @ those specs for a pc, now yu just being facetious. And no yu cant upgrade the gfx card.. you dont buy a laptop for serious gaming, deal with it.

Most important parts for a gaming pc in order of importance? um.. the graphics card..no brainer
mobo/processor
ram
hd
sound

so in summary, stop sounding so desperate about your laptop. you have it.. deal with it.
Gaming=desktop

Way to go boy crix. We were all like him once.

Neo, he's right though. Just needs to work on is pple skills or something.

You're pretty much stuck with the components on the laptop as is.

As for importance for gaming, you've got the Video card, then cpu then memory and everything else after.

the specs for the laptop are decent , if i were to buy a laptop today it would look something like that .
Cod4  , Fallout 3 and other games will play great on it , just give up on crysis for now.

Neo coming from a noob man i say doh study them hoss
no matter way u go it ha certain kind of people u just cant avoid.
ask your self Neo, u go give d bully yuh lunch money everytime he come?
eventually u go lick him down. so keep your chin up
some people just arn't meant 2 be teachers

i for 1 did think of the GATT forms as welcoming and willing 2 share advise, encouraging brothers 2 gain knowledge of the tech world, BUT?

anyway coming from a fellow noob, consider d laptop as a dead end road, good specs but still, almost everyone knows laptops ca really upgrade so wa ever it doing now die most likly d max it could do. what go affect the profromance and looks is d game settings
eg.(resolution, Low settings, high settings)
LOWer settings=profromance
HIGHer setting=looks
if y want d both then da is way good hardware comes in

Gatt getting kinda lawless, men wa musbe part responsible for the creation of rule/laws is d same men wa break them but die life

I'm sure it's been said already by this point, but the 32-bit OS can only see up to 3GB. Not 4GB. The reason being is that the 4th GB is used by the OS for memory mapped I/O. the addresses in the last gig represent hardware device addresses/commands so they aren't used for anything else. Everything else sits in the 3GB. All modern OSes do it that way. Makes it easier to program for, i think.

As for 64-bit, Vista's limit is up to 128GB except for Vista Home Basic and Premium which have an arbitrary limit of 8GB and 16GB respectively.
