I was wondering about this on the Bad Company 2 FAQ. Would people be able to host a server on their own machine or would you only be able to use DICE's dedicated servers?

Really can't wait to get my hands on this game. Judging from playing the PS3 beta and looking at 360 videos I have experienced moments where the frame rate drops in the PS3 beta, whereas the 360 gameplay videos (such as the video in the previous post) does seem to hold up pretty well. I know it's a beta so I'm hoping the final PS3 version fixes that issue, otherwise I'm gonna lean more towards the 360 version. Would like to know anyone else view on this.

no frame rate drops here,(ps3) i did get booted twice though, (was pulling stuff in background)

but ill be getting this on pc, I cant play this properly on console at least not yet.

4 team deathmatch yes. That should be wicked.

gameplay and graphics looking spot on.

really really wish they could cross platform the bloody multiplayer for these games yes.

Did you say 4 team deathmatch? Don't know why they never had a deathmatch mode in Bad Company to begin with. So that will truly be awesome.

Hmm about battlefield 2 I wonder when will we see a true sequel to it. I guess Battlefield 3 will not be pc exclusive.

I checked the site, they said this is 99.9% goin to happen hehe....
Always liked the battlefield series though 2142 was my least favorite, too may bugs.

- PC exclusive
- Frostbite 2 game engine running DX11
- DICE is the producer
- EA is the publisher
- Will feature some sort of destructible environment or the ability to destroy objects (canisters, windows, etc.)
- Won't be as system resource heavy as previous Battlefield's (by ratio)
- First Person Shooter
- Released no later than March 2011
- BF:BC2 =/= BF3
