If you want to level up your rank, as opposed to the actual class, the best, and quickest way to do so
is with the medic class.  Once you work on that and unlock your defibrillator, you can rack up some pretty
impressive point totals per game just running around dropping med kits and reviving...and those medic LMGs
can really lay down a withering curtain of lead, and are pretty lethal at medium range, especially when
fired in bursts.

Ive more or less settled on the engineer class. I can co-pilot a tank, carry out repairs when necessary and do some serious damage with the mounted turret. Also the rocket launcher comes in quite handy.

Havent seen a big difference in magnum rounds to be honest. but ive been strafing recon as of late, so I dont know if thats the issue.

still have to choose a class to stick with, was preferring engineer, then medic, now recon. most fun is sniping so far.

Sadly, my PS3 doesn't seem to like the full version of this game either.  It still crashes randomly, and I'm at my wits end trying to find a solution.

Frustrating doesn't even BEGIN to describe it.  :(

lol, I moon light between assault and engineer (the latter mainly to take revenge on tanks). Pick up other kits on the map for kix.

But you know something is broken with a game's hit detection system when two snipers square off a mile away from each other...fire like 10 shots each....all miss. Start running towards each other while shooting with the hand gun.....an ultimately clash with combat knives in a fight to the death.

WTF?

This I witnessed first hand as I was running along side the friendly sniper trying to kill the enemy sniper with my assault gun (which also missed every shot apparently)

lol

Had to one shot him with the secondary grenade launcher after he sliced my sniper buddy open with his rambo blade. The bastard.

I just had an epic chopper run. We infiltrated the enemy base, stole their helicopter and after doing some evasive maneuvers I was able to get it repaired back at our base. My gunner had a good time racking up the kills for a good 15 minutes or so lol.

That is the beauty of this game, Remember sniper shots in this game do NOT travel in a straight line especially from a mile away (Like another shooter i know) but rather have a trajectory. So the further you are, your sniper rifle MUST be angled to compensate for the distance.

Then again I guess you guys already know this right? If so then game on..

I know EA servers are screwy these days, so that can be the cause as well. :happy0203:

man say that is the beauty of the game oui.

last night one guy said the bullets in this game flies like ducks. He wasn't kidding.

I'm only rank 7 or 8, so hopefully the weapons get more effective higher up the chain, as is the ballistics are horrid compared to every other shooter I've played (cod, mohaa, sof, halo, quake,  etc...)

Everything else about the game is magic. The audio, destructible environment, level design, vehicles, unlock system, etc.... 10/10

woops, scratch that.....the server browser...OMG. That sh1t takes forever! Also lost my friend list yesterday and looks like you have to re-add manually. steups.

never had a problem with guns in this game
seems very odd that so many of yall complaining about the guns
game is not cod but it doesnt take a clip to kill some1
burst fire, spray and pray not rewarded in this as guns have recoil

when i played d demo the XM8 was incredibly effective
burst fire and cud take down 2-3 ppl easy without having to reload

Wyatt, I find the physics in terms of bullet trajectory to be pretty realistic... there is an arc that the bullet follows the further away you fire the weapon. I have no problems sniping men across the map, but there is a trick, you aim higher than the guy's head but line him up with the vertical line on the scope....I've had many a head shot from long distance and have gotten used to the arc pattern of the bullet. You can't expect to aim dead center of the scope and hit a man from long distance in real life....that's why there are wind and angle calculations that snipers do to shoot people from great distances. I guess they wanted to make it as realistic bullet wise....LOL

I'm playing assault, not sniper. My enemies are usually spitting distance in front of me.

Give me an assault gun and stand up 20 feet in front of me, let's see how many bursts it would take to bring you down. lol

Better still, take out a knife and try running into kill me from 20 feet away while I shoot at you with an ak47. Should be exciting to see how that ends in the real world.

umm....if let u some1 run towards u and knfe u while u shooting i suggest stop playin and find a new game

using larutus' quote from the SF thread with a twist

"generally trinis seem to believe that shooters should all be along the lines of CoD and anything not along those lines, is fail"

the game is NOT cod
it doesnt take much to take some1 out in this game anyway
trust me i played with d engineer and had to use d smgs and still toped the boards at the end with most kills

2ndly its a game, its not perfectly realistic NO game is not even CoD in fact cod is far from realistic

learn the game, dont go into it expecting it to play like cod where a shot to the big toe = death.
most of the complaints i seein here is from cod men

after all the criticisms leveled at COD
its only fair that people air the flaws in battle field
I think its a testament to the game that even though its launched and has some bugs, it hasnt garnered the avalanche and cavalcade of negative press that MW2 has gotten from pre launch, launch and never ending supply of buggy experiences.

yeah the medic gun really performs. no doubt. Even without the red dot those LMGs do the deed when it comes to cutting down infantry.

can't say the same for assault.

blu_vice, this ain't about cod. Is not now we playing shooters. Everything from counter strike, to half life to soldier of fortune.

The game has shitty ballistics as illustrated by my examples. The PC version I am talking about btw. As I suspect you're on the PS3 version and the servers/latency may make things a little different.

In no self respecting shooter, should a man be able to close a 30 ft distance against incoming ak47 fire and stab you with a knife.

like crixx said, we were only too happy to high light COD's flaws. nothing wrong in showboating where bad company 2 misses the mark (pun intended)

I still think the game is great, as is cod...but not perfect.
