As I said, they think they smart....Vietnam is DLC to BUY not so? So I still say its balls....why not have those modes from the beginning on ALL the maps that the game came with...its all a game to pretend like they giving you stuff for free, when in fact they designed the game that way to begin with..

Indeed, was it a matter of these modes not being ready for the initial release or as a a means to generate more buzz/promotion for the title over time.

If ANYONE bought MW2 map packs (of which there is ANOTHER for $15us) you should have nothing to say about what ea/dice is doing here.

All the MW2 denouncers, take note eh. The SAME thing is happening with bc2. The only difference is that there are dedicated servers. Also, if ANY OF THE SAID DENOUNCERS BUY VIETNAM, YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE.

YES they pretty much lied to us in saying that we will get NEW maps for free down the road. They simply following what IW did with mw2 with GREAT success. If they could get people to pay for new maps, why give them for free?

Hmm well judging from the trinis on my friends list that still play MW2, pretty much everyone bought the map packs lol. I ended up buying the maps on PS3 and did that PSN sharing thing so it came up to $5USD per person...

bc2 vietnam not in my wishlist at the moment

it will certainly split the community so i'll wait to see how that develops before i decide. with bf2, the community was split and many came back to the original bf2 after the expansion did not sell too well

As for me, dread, I buying it because I want to be in the people and dem ting. Whether it flop or not, I want to experience it for myself.

As for segregated community, maybe. I guess they will lhave to have dedicated servers for vietnam players that will have all the maps in rotation whereas the existing servers will be kept for non Vietnam players.

IMO though, true bf fans WILL fork out the dough to be part of the Vietnam so im not too worried about negatie fallout

Lol the only reason why I bought the MW2 map packs is because most of my friends are playing them. I will buy Vietnam as well once yall playin it.

for the pass few days i have been getting ping spikes up to 999 for like 2 mins then it goes back down.
