Windows Live Messenger Staff ???

It appears numerous people are getting this message upon signing into Windows Live Messenger:

Important service announcement: As part of a recent system enhancement, we need you to change your e-mail address to continue signing in to the Windows Live(TM) Messenger Service.

To ensure that your access is not blocked and to learn more, go to http://support.microsoft.com/gp/Messenger/en

It seems legit with the page and everything..
The date of the page is: August 29, 2006 though.

So I think its safe to say that we avoid doing anything on that page...probably an error in the messenger system.

Any of ya'll got the message and can we isolate to why certain people are getting it? Alot of my friends didn't.

I got it as well... but i not takin any action until i HAVE to.... Microsoft does this crap alot, so it might be safe to wait, in case u loose all ur contacts and emails :S
