Whenever i check it says a highspeed broadband connection, what speed exactly i have no idea.

You can base your choice on these factors, will  you be downloading psn content(demos,games,movies,etc...) as these can be 500MB to 2-3GB, also will there be anyone using bandwidth when you are using your ps3. I am kind of an impatient person so the faster the connection the better for me. but for you this may differ so take the those to factors into consideration because what may work for me may not work for you or anyone else.

ok, i should clarify: blinks packages come as: 1,2,4 and 10 MBPS

i am just wonder what speed is required for: downloading content as well as online gaming (such as Street figther4, killzone2 etc.)

Simply a higher upload speed and download speed will be much more efficient for online.
If you can afford go with the 10mb just because all those huge demos and HD content on psn will get to your ps3 faster.
IMO 1mb and 2mb is too low because even though you'll be able to play online mostly lag free, all the extra things such as game updates which are very frequent and very HUGE (15mb to a large as 800mb) will frustrate the hell out of ya.
So go as high as you can afford.

I didn't realize that 800mb takes forever on 2mbit unless the network itself is slow. Whats wrong with waiting an hour ?

put simply i cant play spec ops wit a friend on her 2Mbps flow package
lvl shunpo does b takin place even if i hosting (cud hav jus been a random bad time tho)

but ideally would go with the 10Mbps IF u were on flow since it only cost like 350
blink idk d pricing but i know them 10Mbps is like 700 so u wud hadda go with d 4

as app said 1 and 2 wud be too low an i kinda agree

btw kenji is flow available in ur area by chance?

I've used 1mb on psn before.  (diff isp)
And Ive seen 2mb in action before. (blink by someone)
I'm not criticising the 2mb lol. YES person can play mostly lag free on 2mb unless the game chooses them as host. Then game crashes/migrates host.

The question of waiting an hour for an 800mb file to download is up to the person.
If you CAN wait that long, well thats good :).
Otherwise with the filesizes of things ever so increasing. the path to digital download only. HD content. Game updates, firmware updates.
DLC downloads. Demos.  1gb, 2gb, 3gb. etc.
You'll want to upgrade eventually.

Simply saying go as high as you can if you can afford it.
If you can't, by all means go ahead with 2mb. Its not the fastest and the best. but it Works.
