Linksys since cisco buyout==crap imho... because of the conflict of interest in products they have dumbed down the linksys line imho... Enterprise Wireless WTFPWNS imho... for home.. I would think that with a TSTT link use a WAP (Wireless ACCESS POINT) on a FLOW link use a WR (Wireless ROUTER). That simple really. Ppl in the home space tend to only think about wireless routers... why I don't know.. I think its lack of knowledge. Back to the topic, I stand corrected... 20 ppl on XBL, Arc where yuh at?

Five years ago, they'd use WAP + hub to achieve what they do today with a Wireless Router.

Used to be that the standard WAP didn't come with any regular network ports (which are invaluable for hooking up non wireless PCs/laptops and for configuring the box using a dynamically assigned IP). Those drawbacks paved the way for the popularity of wireless routers and in particular the ubiquitous linksys WRT line. Awesome little black and blue box that could....

Pity as you rightfully pointed out, they've gone down hill since cisco bought 'em out.

Aye Arc... yuh coulda warn men that the beta was PC only.. yuh boy jes try to sign up and got stopped by the profiler app... using lappy at work not rig home... so cyah sign up atm.. I thought it woulda have a console beta too... ah well..

More info about the game.

I see some of the commenters bitching about the pay-to-play model, but its FREE up to level 10,
and THEN you pay 20 US if you think its worth it to continue playing.

Personally, I like it. You play the free part...you don't like it by level 10, GTFO and move on. Simple.

I now seeing this game...
I wouldn't mind playing this....but the last few Need For Speeds have been so generic you're just left to wonder... games like GRID and DiRT2 dominate the racing world now...still I'll still pray for this game. After all I grew up on NFS

OK...I'm liking what I'm seeing so far. OK visuals, but the frame-rate is all over the place, probably due to the server connection.
