I was just bouncing around Playstation 3 related searches and I came upon this thing called PS jailbreak. Now I know there have been a lot of claims and a lot of 'almost had it' (George Hotz) but I was wondering what everyone else thought. You think it's for real?

This is one of the sites I've found. And I'm sure there are gonna be a lot of knock offs in the not too distant future (sites and products).

Hmm not sure about it but probably safer to not use said PS3 hack while connected to PSN. Lots of discussion on this forum.....

Hehe I just found it funny that out of all phones my particular model has the first port.

This is only useful for running homebrew at the moment, correct?

The exploit is now dead

Firmware 3.42 was released silently without any announcement and it is a mandatory update if you wish to play future games and sign into psn.

the mod allowed you to play backups of your games on your HD while you had another game in the drive.

I always assumed this mod would be offline only. They would patch it very quickly each time the mod is updated.

^lol yea. The vulnerability they found in the system was exploitable by any device that could execute the code. The calculator was lulz.

PS+ subscribers like myself can turn off automatic dloads and updates
i have mine off currently but like arc said i have no intention of doin this

i barely have enough time to play the games i want i go do this for what purpose?
and most of my games is online so serves me no purpose and i not cheap lol

Yeah I was weighing the pros and cons of this, not really something I'd have use for. If PS3 systems were cheaper I could definitely see people getting a second Acquirage model :p
