For the hardcore battlefield fan, is this even remotely appealing?

rofl @ notnice level.

I think it would more appeal to the Uncharted type gamer. Who likes some heavy storyline interwoven with his action sequences.

its a sci fi uncharted basically with rpg elements.

Nah this and uncharted feel too different imo. more akin to gears of war, with a dash of sci fi rpg. Co op is surprisingly fun. especially playing with other races and the accompanying abilities. Somehow doubt this would appeal to men like awesome though. but never know.

one cool plus for owners of the Battlefield 3 is you get a free soldier class for the multiplayer with a pretty decent armor set.

digital format on psn for a top tier title at launch. sweet.

dazwhawetalkinbout

soon the days of the disc will be no more

Just finished my first 3 hours of play.

Game is more streamlined than its predecessor and feels more linear (thus far) but the story line justifies that (with the urgency to save earth) so I won't deduct a point for it yet.

Wish they used the fluidity of Battlefield 3 as the player movement is a little stiff when compared to its FPS brethren.

Those are nit picks as I still enjoyed every single minute of those 3 hours....a lot to love for a sci fi fan.

after playing all 3 uncharted im inclined to disagree. heavily.

loved uncharted but mass effect is a different kind of game oui. Not sure if you could really compare something like uncharted to it.

yeah, I agree with zerk,

It is in a much higher league than Uncharted.

May have sullied the greatness that is ME3 by saying that. I hope Commander Shepard sees fit to forgive the lapse.

Whilst there's a different fix for each urge... one can still ultimately tell which game gives them that warm fuzzy feeling inside... that sense of accomplishment, fulfullment, AWE, that NO other game, regardless of genre can... everyone can have their favourite... so it may be different... but does it give u that special umph?

absolutely agree w1n

and in that category, ME3 definitely gives more warm and fuzzy feelings for me. I haven't finished it yet though so this is a bit premature.

Still got many many more hours of space exploration and planetary swashbuckling to go.
