rofl @ riki pregnant with naix

I would have liked to see how that game would have turned out if Crixx got to play his character of choice

next time

Axe would not have made much of a different trust me. Watching that game play by play. And again, Naix is a hard counter to Axe as Shinsoo said. More HP you have, the more dmg Naix does to you via his lifestyle.

Drow's silence was essential to controlling that game but Mez was focused down every time and again, as Shinsoo said, positioning in a fight was hard to deal with especially with tide hunter's ult. With those 2 disables around, even if Crixx did a get a good ult in, Lion and Shadow Shaman always stayed far out from the time battles were initiated so they would not be silenced by Drow or killed off 1st. They always ran in after Tide hit is ult, sheeped 2 men and GG

erm yal wanted huskar to be banned remember ... before that invoker was to be banned cuz they already banned am and actually u dont ban naix . Cant pick meta game team picks cuz players cant play those heroes so the next thing to do is give people what the wanted. If u fail with that then its not my fault  :P .
either way 5 random ppl versus a team u will naturally be at a disadvantage. Not sure what daemon trying to say because alliance been around a while and ur not supposed to beat them just by calling a game with no practice and no prior idea of what people strong suites are.

That game was lost before 20 minutes before naix came out the jungle and had an impact on the game so anyone who says the reason we lost is naix needs to go watch the replay. Granted riki naix was a good combo but if it was a good team with wards it wouldnt have happened ...

Again you all lost to horrid picks how is your team supposed to win that game with individual heroes like that ? pick proper team comps for team against team games or a loss is all that would come from it imo.

there is no need to ban naix but there is a need to keep him in check this is the second game where naix is rolling in gold like his alias is bill gates or somethin keep carries in check not just one and have better synergy.

Food for thought

well the point is, naix wasn't kept in check. I would have personally banned him just due to the fact that hewi and sue use that combination A LOT. Just for the sake of breaking that combo and force them to play differently.

Yal? Wyatt only call for huskar to get ban because he fraid him. And well crackerz pretty much sums it up.

I'll be home tmr night. We'll see what happens. Maybe get a proper inhouse and not the 5v5. Just for the sake of playing with the other trini's and u know, build community and player base

I personally know my reaction time online sucks and I really just wanted to Spectate....But my GATT bretherin needed 1 more so I jump in for Team building.....I have no idea who is alliance....(but i guess the name said it all ...they all played together?)

I for one Prefer to fill roles where they are lacking....

I was guilty of bad positioning....and I did not react to key Team battles....Also i needed to use more wards....and we all needed to stop that scouting/silencing Riki...

As for Team Bans and Picks there is a reason for each one.....it's an art to counter pick and ban and it's something we need to Learn as a Team.

I'll admit I'm not too old to learn.

Slardar i can see being a great advantage once played right. Gondor, like Riki and Clinkz, once kept in check, aren't a problem.

Blizzard and Valve are going head-to-head over the DOTA name.

Kotaku sums up the history rather nicely: Blizzard made a game called Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos and then released an expansion pack called The Frozen Throne, the latter of which was the foundation for a popular mod called Defense of the Ancients (DOTA). Half-Life 2 creator Valve then decided to develop a stand-alone sequel to DOTA called DOTA2. Meanwhile, Blizzard created a StarCraft 2 multiplayer map called Blizzard DOTA. Now the two developers are battling head-to-head over the DOTA name.

The fight actual stems back to 2010. Despite the fact that Valve had no historical connections to the property or the genre, the company attempted to trademark DOTA with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office anyway. Blizzard publicly spoke unkindly about the move, but didn't legally pursue any type of trademark application block until now, conveniently just before DOTA2 launches sometime this year.

In front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office's Trial and Appeal Board, Blizzard argues that the DOTA name has been used by Blizzard and its fans for seven years, that it's become "firmly associated in the mind of consumers with Blizzard." Even more, Blizzard argues that the original DOTA needs the Warcraft 3 Frozen Throne expansion pack to play. The company has even licensed the DOTA label to other companies even though it never filed for a trademark.

"In contrast to Blizzard, Applicant Valve Corporation ("Valve") has never used the mark DOTA in connection with any product or service that currently is available to the public," Blizzard states. "By attempting to register the mark DOTA, Valve seeks to appropriate the more than seven years of goodwill that Blizzard has developed in the mark DOTA and in its Warcraft 3 computer game and take for itself a name that has come to signify the product of years of time and energy expended by Blizzard and by fans of Warcraft 3."

"Valve has no right to the registration it seeks," Blizzard continues. "If such registration is issued, it not only will damage Blizzard, but also the legions of Blizzard fans that have worked for years with Blizzard and its products, including by causing consumers to falsely believe that Valve's products are affiliated, sponsored or endorsed by Blizzard and are related or connected to Warcraft 3."

The full Notice of Opposition, which was filed on November 16, 2011, can be read here. Blizzard merely wants the trademark office to block Valve's attempt.

DOTA 2 will be down today, Tuesday February 14th, 2012 for 24 hrs.

Possibility of Patch, possibility there won't be one. Don't set your hopes too high. Might be something more dealing with the servers themselves since Steam suffered a down time this weekend due to power outages on their servers.
