Some may say that this generation of systems is not over,but with Nintendo bringing out its new box next year and the other console makers hot on thire heels i think its safe to say its over.
Now the question of who won?For some strange reason most gaming sites seem not to be interested in that,kinda like how all of a sudden no one cears about who wone E3,but thats an other issue.So lets break it down.

1.Sales
When it comes to sales its clear that the little engin that could the Wii is way ahead with over 87 million sold world wide.

2.Exculsives
Now lets look at the Number of exclusives.It is also clear that Nintendo is on top.Before you jump all over me on this think how maney exclusives the ps3 and 360 have?And thet think about the Wiis.Just last year alone there was Red Steel 2,Mario Galaxcies,tatsunoko vs Capcom,Monster Hunter tri Goldeneye,Kerbys Epic yarn,Epic MICKY,METRIOD other M,turma Team,FRAGILE,Sky Crawlers,Sin and punishment,No more heors 2,RE Umbrella chronicles,14 games just off the top of my head.Can you say that for the ps3 or 360? i BEAT YOU DONT GET PAST 5!

3.HARDWERE
Its clear that the ps3 is beyond everyone,for raw power the ps3 wins (even if it doesent have enough ram for cross game chat lol)

3.Online
The Xbox 360 cant be tuched online anyone that plays online with the 360 is having the time of thier life nothing comes close nuff said!

After that i have no choice but to give nintendo the crown.Wii WIN!!!

Well the argument is that Nintendo is and will always be the family console. Least most violent games as well as easiest to learn and play imo. But yes, gamers in general have benefited the most. Though there will always be the biased of platforms, people can now find a console that best suites them in the ways they want. Looking forward to seeing the new Xbox and PS. Maybe id turn away once again from PC gaming if the consoles meet my expectations or more.

I also play lots of console games. The more the merrier (time permitting).

If others intentionally want to miss out, that's their problem.

PS3 and 360 easily pass 10 exclusives each. (Not to mention the development investments are bigger on the HD consoles, hence a lower "exclusive" count).
Now if we add Kinect and Move exclusives, we pass 20, even 30. And how bout we combine multiplatform games ONLY available on PS3, 360 and PC. Maybe add the XBLA and PSN exclusives as well? We're probably over 70 each by now. And now let's compare ps3/360 review scores to the Wii games.

The Wii has a lot of top notch titles, but when comparing to PS3 and 360, drop the bias a bit.

1. Wii...oh yea. They made a killing in units sold.

2. What do you consider "exclusive" because PS3 really holds that trophy regardless of units sold

This includes sequels because some titles were exclusive at first then transition to other consoles.

3. Raw power. PS3 for sure. Using the raw power...that will never happen in this generation

4. Online. 360 hands down.

So by your method of "best of 4" which is clearly flawed PS3 wins...?

I would advise against using vgchartz for validation. Used them in my thesis papers before NPD closed themselves to the public a year ago. Those numbers are not accurate, although the Wii sales are the highest. PC or DLC is almost impossible to find since Steam does not reveal their numbers publicly and DLC is not tracked accurately. Just and FYI

On the NPD site you can pull down average data per system, just not specifics on titles. Everything seems internal now because of cost an competition, which is unfortunate.

Mouie -you never defined your parameters, this is a forum, a social one at that. You can expect discrepancies in everything. And thats perfectly fine. Just dont expect accuracy:)
