I was trying to get Batman Arkham City on steam and it said that it was region blocked, is there anything I can use to get around this or should I just purchase the disc itself?

Unfortunately, you will have to get someone with a US Steam acct to buy it and gift it to you.

If you can buy the disc, then do that.
You *might* be able to use the disc code to activate it on Steam.

I tried using a VPN to buy a region-locked game once, and the sale did go through, but it never showed up in my games list. Steam eventually had to refund my 'Steam Wallet'.

Just a heads-up if you're contemplating that.

i just log into the us steam link and I could usually buy whatever. did it a few times well.

Ok... It worked for Berserk. It shouldn't work at all.

You're going to end up with a game that won't show up in your games list unless your PC is connected to the internet in the US.

Buy it from Amazon, and use the code to activate it on Steam.

I checked amazon for the code to purchase but it only have the full game to download there. If someone from the states could gift it, would that work?

From your games list (if you bought it)...there should be a button to click on that reveals the code to you...

Simply copy and paste that code in Steam when you use the 'Activate a Product on Steam' menu option...

Gifting will also work, but the person who buys it has to do so from within Steam.

The Amazon deal gone. You have no choice now but to have someone gift it to you via Steam. It's still not directly available in our region.

OK, I not sure if this will be relevant to you or not, but it seems as though you went through alot of trouble man. I live in Canada, and I just recently started following all these game deals through Kotaku (moneysaver articles) and
email promos.

The mayhem sale that Amazon had was through the US website. And I thought that was a problem for me, but I was wrong!

All you need to do at the checkout is enter a US address. For digital sales, the address is just for verification apparently. I used a mall in Miami. No joke. Bought Dead Island and F3AR.

I was real skeptical about this, but there was quite a bit of positive feedback for it so I just tried it.
