My Flow has been going down in the night about 1-2 times a week over the past 3 weeks, it's weird. But its still 100000000x better than blink, if you were on the forums about 7 years ago, there was a time we lost internet for 6 MOFO WEEKS! yes WEEKS and they refused to refund us the money, instead gave us a 'credit' which BTW they took 4 MONTHS to give us, telling us we in arrears! but they OWN US money eh. Dread I had to resort to TATT to get ANY kind of help.

Thank you all for your prompt replies. Since I originally planned to get Flow 25, I will instead get the Flow 15 as most of you suggested. I will also speak to them about getting a plain modem and buying a router such as the Asus suggested. If it turns out to be horse manure, I will do as Spaz suggested and get blink and let you guys know how it goes.

Thanks again. Since you are all Trinis, do you guys know where I can get a good-great gaming laptop? I didnt haul over my desktop and I have to buy one. Currently, I'm set on buying this http://www.xoticpc.com/msi-gs70-2od002us-p-6149.html . Not a big fan of 17inch laptops but I don't really like the others and this one is light while not carrying the price of the Razer Blade or as heavy as the samsung. Appreciate any help on this also.

Good choice @ flow

As for the gaming laptop....that warrants an entire new thread!

Asus ROGs are pretty capable systems and provide a great bang for your buck.

I get decent speeds most of the time in St Anns. It really does fluctuate depending on area. Check out my Ookla Speedtest result. What's your speed? http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/613274590

With Flow, users in different parts of the country experience varying levels of latency. Where I live in Port of Spain, latency has remained unacceptably high for FPS gaming purposes, despite my many pleas to the company, many of which have made its way high up the ladder but to this day falls upon deaf ears.

As can be seen, GATT has a good relationship with Flow and vice versa. Both organizations do good work in promoting online gaming in Trinidad but sadly, Flow is TERRIBLE for gaming in some areas, St Agustine I understand is even worse than what I have personally experienced. I've switched back to TSTT 2Mbit connection about 3 years now and experience vastly better latency than I got while with Flow.

Of course, your issue may not be related to the service itself. As such, I urge you to do some testing on www.pingtest.net at different times of the day. Observe results, ensuring that no one else is using the connection while testing. This will tell you all you need to know about its gaming capabilities.

Luckily, TSTT's DSL is available to pick up the slack in cases where Flow's service is unacceptable.
I live in St Augustine, never had any issues with FLOW in my area, I use to have TSTT 4mb connection and the few years i had with it was horrible, no internet for weeks, numerous router changes, then one day said screw it and switched to FLOW 15mb, no issues what so ever

I wonder just how much gaming (fps especially) you do with your connection. With flow my downloads always worked fine. Judging by that criteria alone, flow worked great but latency was absolute shit.

Also, St Agustine big. Just like my area, people further down the road own working fine but me, if it wasnt for TSTT, I could do absolutely no online gaming.......

I think somebody in Spaz household was bussing up torrents underlows, downloading heavy nrop in the background while he was trying to game.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00387G6R8/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00387G6R8&linkCode=as2&tag=g12n7-20

You should invest in one of these Asus RT N16 routers to expose the culprit.

I know what every device is doing and exactly how much bandwidth it is using thanks to the epic reports this router provides.

All kicks aside, once we in agreement on the coconut water from Tony's front...I will work with Flow to get you back on the fast track. Especially due to recent developments. *wink wink*

I have that router, actually, it was me who recommended it to you lol. And yeah, direct connection to modem yielded same results.

So....all the coconut water you can drink on the spot? LMAO

I mostly play fps games and my ping is always like 70 to 90 on east coast US servers, when i had tstt it was always over 100 to 150 and when i did alot of xbox live gaming always was a 2 bar connection, now i get host all the time in fifa and no lag what so ever when i play gears of war with my relatives in the US
