I get my name from 3 places
1. Meh bro used to call me silvaback cuz I had hardd back (after d gorillas)
2. My hair does sometimes shine on my arm and back when I by the beach an ting (again like a silverback gorilla..)
3. Sweating in cafe an some noob bawl out "weyyy like you is a Silverback or wah..how you playin wit dem guerrilla tactics" (from SoF 2 days)

Philosophical45; actually i have used this name in many forums and chat programs.. mainly related to music.. i first used the name when i started using SoulSeek.. and it stemed onto Paltalk when i participated in small sound clashes online.. now i just use it in any forum basically.. and sometimes i use it as my game id.. but i aslo use Shotology101

Let's see,
I choose mine because it was my email address, and for those people that know me they know I am a bit on the psychotic side, the "Split" part I don't know about, I joined GATT since I was in High School so I really can't remember what "phase" of life I was in, now I would love to change it to something a little bit more feminine or a little bit more to suit my personality but hey everyone knows me here as this.....so I don't know maybe one day I will beg an Admin to change it, not sure if I am ready to give up my "identity" here yet though....

i coulda swear there was a thread about this somewhere...

well had started listening to this band Fields of the Nephilim and googled 'nephilim' to find out what it was about ended up liking it so i took it up as my handle a while back

נְפִלִים - is how it's commonly spelled in Hebrew (given that there are like 5/6 different interpretations/pronounciations/spellings of the word)

i just went with the one that occurs first in the old testament as it's more commonly known among those of the Christian and Hindu persuasions

i liked it so much i have it tattooed on my wrist

I sign up so long I forget why I even chose my name. I'm actually a pretty laid back kinda guy.

Guess it sounded cool at the time. Always wished I could change it though.

yea i watched sword of the berserker. was intrigued ay how epically awesometastic and dread guts (main character) was...the number 28 is my lucky number too. go figure..

I can't believe this thread has been around for so long and I have never posted on it, especially since I'm always answering this very same question. So here goes:

Back in the day when I first started gaming I was into racing games so I called myself "fast track" but I was playing this motor cross game that couldn't take a name that long so I shortened it to PHASTRAQ.

Then I started playing shooters, specifically Unreal and C.O.D. and the name Phastraq worked cause I was always the most agile but I noticed that when you killed someone the game said on their screen "You were killed by Phastraq" so as a joke I changed my name to AIDS and so it read "You were killed by AIDS"

Anywho, the name stuck and as I continued to play COD I developed a knack for being unkillable and even when killed I would respawn and instantly kill the person that killed me. People started using terms like "AIDS is a killer" and "You can't get rid of AIDS" so the name stuck.

Surprisingly, girls usually are intrigued by the name and it's a great conversation starter so if it aint broke why fix it.
