A PlayStation 2.
For a hardcore fighting game enthusiast like myself, there's no two ways about it. On top of that, the X-Box and Gamecube (ESPECIALLY the Gamecube)'s controllers are sheer MESS.

X-box controller iz mess not cube, anyways i waz a hardcore nintendo fan before but PS2 have my vote...bun u neo dont b dissin d cube...i will sic my pet on u...lol

this is a question that has been runnin since the other 2 forums and back then N64 was still out allyuh not easy d PS2 is d best and well when ps3 launch yuh done know

I doubt SCEA will redesign the Dual Shock 2 for the PS3. it has worked fine for the last 11 + years, so they may not tinker with what seems to be perfection. I can't see any upgrades they will make, as you all know the difference between the PS ONE controller and the Dual Shock 2 is the addition of the analog buttons.

What laertes said makes alot of sense. The God father of gaming designed the GCN controller with one key factor in mind, which is intuitivity. I personally find it to be the most comfortable and intuitve controller, all the buttons feel perfectly placed and right at my finger tips.

What I don't like about it, is the lack of ALL buttons being analog and the buttons seem a little high. Which is a problem that the Xbox also shares. The Xbox on the other hand is comfortable in its own feel but the plaement of the buttons is a little off. The black and white buttons are too far out of the way, and actually have no real destinction. They were meant to be secondary buttons, but why? Don't we already have a "start" and "back" button? I prefer their placement on the original pad.

Another problem that I would say the GCN and XBX controllers share is the D-pad. The DSII controller is the only one with a comfortable D-pad. The D-pad on the original XBX controller was perfect in my eyes, for the simple fact that it was smooth. Very easy on the thumb-tips when pulling off a hado-ken manuever. Don't be misguided when playing with your cube controller either, because it may seem small, but when you're playing your gameboy SP it don't feel small does it? Yep it is about the same size

PS controller is ok, but it too has its faults . I prefer the old concave analog sticks that would have been found in the orignal Playstation Dual Shock, but the rubber is ok. My beef is that the 'handle pegs' are a bit too short and the 'instep' like grove between the pegs and the shoulder buttons is way too deep. If I play for an hour it begins to get rather uncomfy very fast. Thats about all the cons I would say for it.

Each one has its faults and it boils down to what you prefer. I could play anything on any of the controllers, fighting to racing, it doesn't matter to me.

Playstation i go with it very durable but we should go back to cassettes
