its always this expensive when they first come out the ps2 recorded presales bids up to $500 for it. there are many ppl who whill pay the price just to have it first.

I been wondering that very same thing...I'm pretty sure the original PS was/is referred to as the PSX already...but anyways, this "new" PSX will have DVD burning capabilities and a large hard drive to do TiVo-like stuff etc, I still think it's way overpriced tho...they not even sure if to introduce it in the North American market...

wow, didn't know it was that expensive. still think its cool though, like the PSOne. i realise that with sony, you have to wait until they fix each of their generation's console's glaring weaknesses in a redone package before it becomes worth buying.

So why open a stupid thread like this? You hate playstation, so what, get a friggin life. It's a console, if you don't like good for you. Just keep your babbling ass quiet. I personally don't like Xbox or GC that much but that's no reason to go about trolling up and down the forums like some fool.

Personally, if that were the cost to get the new system, I'd get it. You only talk things like the price and what not and totally forget what is important i.e. what you get for your money. And of course the price WILL come down eventually. If you hate the system that badly go outside Nanan's with a damn placard and rush ppl who want to enter the place.

Even ps2 owners are hardcore gamerz. Hell, that's reason for buying the system in the first place. Console gaming is never for ppl who casually game. It's an investment in entertainment.

Duh @ spinner. Why couldn't the others be like you and realize that's why the system cost is so high? I pray for the souls of the theoretically inane.

1) The price is waaaaay too much
2) It will go down
3) It's too under powered for soo much $$$
4) It's targeting rich white ppl
5) If u don't like PS, then that's your business.
6) Mustard does taste good with ham

I personally will wait for the PS3.

The price of the Psx may be high and all but i guess ur gettin ur money's worth. I still waitn for the Ps3.
