new ideas vs sequals

i say: sequels in games are better. I say this because this is the year of the sequel. Many of the games i enjoyed by good companies really only came into full bloom with a sequel.
The experience and feeback lets the developers make better games. Even expansion packs or recent make have been really good.
broodwar, spearhead, frozen throne, generals pro. (well its a mod....but its what the original should have been)
just to name a few


oh and the word in S-E-Q-U-E-L people. EL.

I perfer new ideas  we have not had many new ideas in gaming recently as in ground breaking original but sequels are always fun man just the thought of games that you grew up on or loved is being remaked for a new generation or for you to enjoy is always cool

this topic is practically impossible to vote on
cuz in some instances
the original idea is better than the sequels
cuz its the foundation of the whole series and if they dont come up
with ideas for the sequels
it ends up to be boring
but then again the sequels
if they are concured with good ideas
it sometimes makes it better than the original idea

and also if there too many new ideas on the market
things become clutered
and everything will become messed up
if the new ideas turn out to be bad
it wastes millions of dollars
but if milk off of a previous idea
and make a sequel
its safer for the whole gaming industry

of course this is just my view...

It depends on the quality and funability of the articles.....movies and games can have excellent, superior, okay or crappy sequels.....it's depends all on the product.

i finally made my vote
i chose new ideas
basically because without new ideas
there wouldnt be sequels
but it was a tough call

Both are good. Sequels in moderation though. Mario has been milked to the point where no one cares anymore.

well both can be very good,ppl like continuity from their characters so sequels are a good thing in this instance, but new ideas are always welcome, so there's no real advantage of one over the other. the industry is better with both in place. it's when they decide to hold stuff back for sequels, that it gets really shiddy

some sequals are mad decent...like silent hill
...but they seriously need to stop after 6...7...8...9
