Ran across this juicy bit this morning....

It really makes me want to pull a cartman and say, "o.k. that's it....screw you guys, I'm goin' home!"

As discussed, the existing limits of our current backbone infrastructure prevent this from helping us tooooooo much, BUT here's some food for thought:

The new version of DOCSIS (Data-Over-Cable Service Interface Specifications) will allow for physical layer speeds of 160Mbps downstream and 120 Mbps back up—more than a fourfold increase over current rates (in the real world).

I'd believe u if you were right.

Columbus and TSTT are supposed to be laying Fibre... But the whole  TSTT backbone is only 300mbit right now (cheap mcs) , will take a while to bring us up to even 1 mbit speeds.

dread I assure you columbus getting a terrestrial link to T&T is NOT something that gonna happen too soon unfortunately. As it stands the GOV owns majority TSTT and aiding in their  own loss isn't happening too soon. LOOK how long we hearing AT&T coming and etc. It took digicel FOREVER to get IN far less to lay fibre to our country to WDFPWNZ TSTT come on, think about it more carefully.
