So who's into this stuff? By indie I mean independant - not Indian.
I remember last time we tried to keep up with CCA7 (Fernandes Complex) Studio Film Club but it never quite caught on. Alas.

I'm surprised by the few who actually watch this so finding some fellow indie movie lovers would be cool.

Aren't you tired of the boring hollywood hoo ha? All that slick action and the pretty faces...bo-ring!

Inde movies are really cool
there are a lot of good ones that u dont hear abt and then they are those that u do hear abt and they become big really big...
its fun to watch how sometimes there are big name actor/actress in low budget indie movies

*sigh* this is depressing. those weren't really the responses I was looking for... I did ask if anyone took them in. :(

why does have a movie have to get big? the best ones don't which is great. commercialisation really bites.

I like the idea, but I have to say - I never checked out any indie films. Maybe I should, see what the fuss is all about. :D

QDizzle, indie = independant not Indian :)
Have you ever wished things just were?

Well I'm not into into it as such but I find them cool - lots of different techniques are used that provide an extra element to the movie experience. Sadly I've only seen a few but like anime I'm getting more and more exposed as  accessibility improves. CCA7 is an excellent source - have to take advantage of their Thursday nights some more.

Chocolat (with Johnny Depp)
Memento
Mulholland Dr.
In The Bedroom
The Royal Tenenbaums
Being John Malkovich
Trainspotting
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Pulp Fiction
Reservoir Dogs

I sorta consider 28 Days Later somewhat indie because the director Danny Boyle did Trainspotting too. Not everyone liked 28 ... hehe.

Foreign films are great too.
Amélie - French
Hable Con Ella - Spanish
Como Agua Para Chocolate - Mexican

some new ones coming up can be found here at http://indie.imdb.com/index.indie like Step Into Liquid and My Life Without Me
