NFSU 2 was a big dissapointment graphically i mean i played Burnout 3 which was running on the NFSU 2
engine and wow big difference in looks.

I am not sure that NFSU 2 was using the same graphics engine as Burnout 3. The Burnout series uses Criterion's engine called RenderWare. EA probably was probably using their own engine for the NFS series. It could be that they started using RenderWare for Most Wanted, but I am not 100% sure of that.

It was the first Need for Speed Underground. That game was seriously challenging. I mean it have games like Gran Turismo where you know and expect the challenge. Then, you have this game ... an arcade racing game that really surprised me with the difficulty.

Little update:

I finished Jak II a little while ago. It was a good game with really tight controls. The hover racing was nice and the voice work was excellent. The shooting makes it more in line with Ratchet and Clank than the original Jak game. All in all, definitely worth playing.

I also finished Rollercoaster Tycoon. There is something immensely satisfying about building and managing a theme park. You see the people going around having a good time and you are always doing something ... whether it is putting down new rides or food stalls. For people who want a change of pace from shooters or RTS games, this is a good one to try out.

I have been rocking NBA Street V3 recently. That game is all kinds of bad. From the graphics to the controls to the many NBA players, the game is packed with good stuff. Somehow, I think if I go on Xbox Live I will get beat down, but it is ok. I will have fun anyway.

Also, since football season start I have been playing a good bit of my most recent football game, ESPN NFL 2K5. Yeah, I eh get a new one yet. Maybe soon I will check out a newer Madden. For the time, this one is serving the purpose although TO is annoying me since he is still on my Eagles. I considering taking him off the roster but Reggie Brown not in the game. Anyway, I like to run the ball and Westbrook does the job well. I am only playing on Rookie mode, though, so I definitely not ready for Xbox Live with football yet.

For racing, I going through Project Gotham Racing 2. That game too sweet for words. The different (supposedly real) cities actually look like real places and the different radio stations are nice. The car selection is really cool especially when you get to the higher end models (Ferrari, Porsche, etc.). The skill needed to do well in this game is obvious but very rewarding when you get good at it. There is just something about passing a couple cars while drifting and not hitting the side of the road and getting Kudos for all your efforts.

Out of the ones that I actually played:

Breath of Fire 1 and 2 - Excellent and underrated series from Capcom. The main character is Ryu and transforms into a dragon.
ActRaiser 1 and 2 - RPG/God game/action hybrid things from Enix. Quite interesting and very good.
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Classic Zelda game more like the first one. Later re-released on GBA.
Illusion of Gaia - Action/RPG like Zelda.

The ones I didn't play (too expensive at the time):

Final Fantasy 2 and 3 - Some of the best in the series. 2 is actually FFIV and was re-released on GBA with extra stuff. 3 (actually FFVI) will be re-released on GBA later this year.
Super Mario RPG - From Square. Combines turn-based combat with button presses to keep the battles interesting.
Earthbound - Lots of humor and more down to earth than typical fantasy RPG's.

I'm actually hoping that most of these will be re-released on GBA/DS/Wii so I can play them sometime in the future.
