Am I the only person who finds it strange that the police are this well organised when it comes to raiding MEDIA houses but other crooks "escape" and white collar criminals never even see cuffs?

As my 2IC said tonight, "The revolution will be televised." The day that ppl in this country get pissed off enough about something to explode and send everything to hell, there will be chaos and anarchy the fallout of which will rival natural disasters. There's a LOT more going on than just this and if you can't see the bigger picture, remember to wash your hair when you finally pluck your head from under the sand.

TBH this country is filled with too many ppl that can't see past their own front door, or care to. Honestly I don't think anything SHORT of a natural disaster will shake up this country enough for the ppl to realized how BLESSED Trinidad really is and start appreciating it and each other and make this place better than it is, and in the least as good as it USED to be (according to the older folk) when it was still under british rule. Daz my 2c.

The other extreme is we'll go to hell in a handbasket, run the businesses out and end up like SO many of the african nations that are corrupt to the SKY and massive poverty, lawlessness and MADNESS prevails.

Sad, but such excellent points made.

It makes you wonder what is really cooking on the backburner to suddenly have this and the bad dogs act suddenly come out.

Well you know things won't change unless we do, it's that simple. If you want T&T to change stop with the typical trini mentality of preaching and not doing.

If only you know what I wanted to do, eh... I'll put it this way: My mother lives in fear that the SIA will knock on her door asking for me. That's all I'll say. That's all she says too, lol.

Besides, those who are IN a position to do, DON'T and more often that not, they block those who WANT to do and aim for that position. I can say that from my practical experience with Trini politics, experience that I'd rather forget.

On the contrary i'd like to believe that MANY here are doing the right thing such as obeying laws (traffic, taxes, polution, etc), also i'd LIKE to think that many here give back to their respective communities in different ways (help raise funds, awareness, 100 smiles, etc), i'd LIKE to believe that many GATT members are already doing their part by being good examples for those around them. If on the other hand you want me to walk in Laventille with a Bible in my hand and preach that Jesus will save their bandit souls, you are sadly mistaken.
And as Q mentio (and if you search you'll see it on this very forum) i've said it before but I guess I need to say it again, make me emporer and supreme ruler of this country for 5 years, thats all I want. I'll clean up this nation in one fell swoop, I may unfortunately also decimate 50% of the population in the process, but I assure you I will make this nation beautiful again... end of line.

So your solution to the problem is to become supreme ruler of all, what is this North Korea. Brother nothing corrupts worse than total power, all this will do is create a civil war or worse, and then this country would really look like one of those third world countries mentioned earlier.

You assume much, what's very important is the duration 5 years, I don't want it longer than that, and not quite the north korea route where the wealth is used to maintain military dictatorship, nor is it to concentrate the wealth to military personnel either. And IF you even searched and found my previous comments, I expect at the end of said 5 years to be tried in the International court for whatever atrocities they see fit. You see you misunderstand my intention, its not ethnic cleansing of majorities or minorities, it has NOTHING to do with religion or colour, it's ALL to do with eradicating a mentality, corruption, bias, discrimination for believe me when I say I would cull the HIGHEST AND the LOWEST alike. But I digress, to fully appreciate the scope, breath and depth of what would be required is NOT for typing but rather a lenghty discussion over a few drinks and dinner.
