This MC country!

So I have a matter that is headed to industrial court.

Join a union, but because more than 6 months passed since I left the offending employer (june 2011), union has to apply for an extension to be able to pursue the matter.

it takes 18 months for the Ministry of Labour to approve it. I had to go in the Ministry personally to enquire what the hell was going on. The approval came about a month after.

Next stage is for union and Ministry to meet to discus next step as offending employer has failed to respond to union.

I decide to be pro-active early o'clock to ensure this matter progresses in a timely fashion. I go in to Ministry today to find out when this meeting will take place.

Spoke to the relevant officials who say it is the union who supposed to call them to indicate when they available for a meeting.

I walk to the union's office to relay this info. The union official says, no the Ministry supposed to call them to setup the date.

So wtf gong on here? who lying?
So while these 'children' point fingers I hadda suffer!

Not one arse of dat! Dread letter in both ah dem mc.... nobody gonna fcuk around with my life like this...

So to follow up on my last post,

My meeting tookplace friday. But again more WTMC moments:

- Reach for 10am
- only one union rep for me and tow other people, so union rep decide to go in a meeting with another person while I wait for CPO officials
- the CPO officials never arrive till almost 10:30am.
- They sit next to me in corridor. When one of them confirms who I am, he go look to ask me "how much I looking for?" My answer was perfect: "I'll tell you what is in my heart. to publicly embarrass [school]"
-11am arrives and the CPO people are now saying they can't wait (they were half hour late and want to leave already) and effective forces the union official to leave her meeting to talk to them
- right there in the corridor they begin to discuss a new date for a meeting! I begin to protest, but then the CPO offical turn to give me attitude, telling me "this is a matter between the CPO and the union".
- I picked up my stuff and headed for the elevator forthwith. I would either cuss or collar that old man,and I didn't want the two St. Francois interns who were nearby to witness that. Two Ministry of Labour staff who I been dealing with, saw the whole thing and tried to pacify me, but I was not hearing any of it.

Industrial Court, here I come!

It's easier to make ethanol from corn. Sugar cane just wasn't beneficial anymore as there where other players producing it on a larger scale and at a lower price.

high costs of production, lowering sale prices, due to local and international politics respectively.

TL;DR version:

sugar was a money maker because of sweetheart deals where england overpay us (former colonies) for sugar in return for political and financial leverage in our other dealings. the eu became a thing, and england could no longer legally overpay us in prefernce over sugar producing eu member states if they could source it from the eu. (about 16 million tonnes of beet sugar produced in the eu) lots of law suits were filed over this. but history of sugar and history of politics in trinidad go hand in hand, so everyone feel that sugar was king so the costs of sugar production here were some of the highest in the world.

The question was part sarcasm;heh; but it does make you wonder if we did hold out for a little longer and went with the palcohol manufacturing. Imagine for you drinkers out there having your drink in powdered form and you just have to add water? (Non alcoholic here) <-

Don't get me wrong... I don't hate the lady... I don't even know her, but I believe in the law of 'natural justice'.

When you take money from people and try your damnedest to keep them from getting the punishment that they deserve, well.....lets just say I won't feel a thing either way when things 'work themselves out' the way they do.

My opinion of course.
