384 out somewhat translated.. barely had any dialogue , mostly action .

I don't think itachi is out yet.. but he seems a much weaker fighter than previously thought.. Genjutsu types are supposed to be weak with taijutsu and ninjutsu , his sharingan made up for that until now...
  So it seems itachi is the intel hero with imba nukes and disables , but low hp and basic attack. Sasuke is the plain imba agil hero with dread spells (DOTA analogy.)

 More likely than not this will last at least 4-5 more manga... Itachi still have to buss mangekyou and perhaps sasuke to unlock it

well i wouldnt say hes a weak fighter

look how well his genjutsu was fighting sasuke in cqc

must say ultra uber very well done by sasuke
he probably planned it very well, expecting itachi to fight in that way

I'd be amazed if this fight is over in one chapter. Seriously. That would blow my freaking mind. Not to say I'm not content with this outcome...but some fans will be -pissed-.

This isn't even close to over. I'm CERTAIN that isn't the real Itachi yet. He's evaluating Sasuke even now. This won't be over until Sasuke beats the Mangekyou.

i reiterate how amazing itachi's genjutsus are though

and seems like those stories bout the uchihas and the fox are true

I called it weeks ago, third level to the sharingan, rin'negan made obsolete before it's even properly shown.
One thing confuses me though, why is Sasuke constantly falling for genjutsu? Sharingan is supposed to be able to see through any genjutsu.

I don't think it's a third level sharingan. I believe it refers to the sharingan's ability to control the fox....and even if it's a third sharingan...you're forgetting shonene rules, Exar. We have no idea what the rinnegan does really and it's been called the strongest eye...but we know that there's a third level to the sharingan. So you know what that means...

Deus Ex Machina vs Deus Ex Machina coming up.

And even if Pain didn't know there's a third level to the sharingan...he knows now (Zetsu).

sasuke is not falling for genjutsu. Up to now, itatchi and him hasn't even moved. They have been battling each other with genjutsu. Just to show you how strong sasuke has become. He kicked itatchi's ass in the first leg of the genjutsu battle (384). I can't wait to see the physical part of this fight.

Also, the revelation that madara helped wipe out the clan, whoa! I can see this is gonna be a good year for the manga. And based upon the butchery of the oro vs naruto fight in ship, it might not be such a good year for the anime. Lets hope the get back on track.

One thing about this though. This pretty much gives Sasuke dibs on Madara doesn't it? Pain is Naruto's and Madara is Sasuke's. So we have a problem. Because no matter how much Kishi loves Sasuke you can't have the main character beat a secondary villain at the end of the series.

So I'm thinking either Pain is gonna get an upgrade that puts him over Madara, or we got more heads that need knockin after this. Return of Orochimaru? Or will Naruto simply face the Kyuubi after Madara is dealt with?

I just read the transcript for this week's naruto leak. I think this man's goal is really to write the greatest shonen manga ever.

after reading the manga i realised something, the first hokage had to have been REAL bad if he managed to defeat madara while he had the new 'unstoppable' sharigan

well you didnt read the manga properly then proto

reading it alludes to the fact that it was the first alone that beat madara
it had to have been as trini suggested, that the other uchihas, combined with the rest of the senju clan to defeat madara, there by earning them there place in the newly formed village as the police force of konoha.

So basically madara got the biggest gank of all time.

IMO naruto will probably be the best shonen manga of all time .


 theres a 99.9% chance that the first got assistance from the other uchiha to defeat Madara , you don't go round killing your family on jones. 

  A hokage doesn't have to fight solo in any case , he's supposed to be able to lead an army of ninja if need be.  Thats probably why Kakashi is the next candidate in line, even though he runs out of chakra fast he is a great leader , other ninja will make up for his weaknesses.

 Remember also Orochimaru made a point of keeping the 3rd hokage isolated so he could be defeated , if he had help from the four ANBU he would not have run out of chakra and had to resort to using the sealing technique.

 
The only other  possibilities lie in the first having  jutsu on par with Madara , The first being smart enough to avoid getting hit by MS .

We'v seen with the clay-bomb dude that the sharingan CAN be resisted to some extent .

Both of them could control the bijuu 'like pets' , so perhaps it was a battle using tailed beasts?
 
That would put it on more equal terms , it would have been down to : Who had the stronger monster , Who had the most chakra to control it longest.

I'm sure it somehow involves the necklace naruto wears , a jutsu involving the necklace that Naruto will one day use.

Its good that we haven't run out of questions , lots of storyline still left to go.

We still have to see Madara die and learn how he was defeated in the first place.

We have straight out statements from Jiraiya that Shodai and him duked it out at VotE and Shodai won. There's no talk anywhere of any coalition of the willing fighting him. And until there is, the manga evidence says it was a 1v1.

Just accept it Uchihaites, sharingan got owned.
Shodai is the original OG of the Narutoverse.

We'll see as the manga progresses , there is obviously more to the story that has to be revealed.

We'v been lead to believe that Itachi was a lot stronger than he really was , some people thought he was THE strongest .

quite possibly everything we know about the uchiha is suddenly thrown out the window : There may have been many MS users , many attempts at getting it at least according to itachi .

I'm still inclined to believe that a Mangekyou Sharingan user with no limits would be nigh unstoppable : fights have been ended , or avoided with ONE use of it , Imagine pelting out dozens of blasts?

There was some technicality involved in the Shodai-Madara fight , Shodai simply being stronger might be reason enough for the rest of the Uchiha to be loyal to him , but i think there's more to the story.

Lets not forget the simple fact : Madara is STILL alive , meaning either he faked his death, or conceded defeat for some reason , and walked away .
