Naruto IS the strongest konoha ninja in raw power , but he's far from hokage , he doesn't have the wisdom and experience to be a great leader as yet.

And if you look at it one way , Jounin are supposed to command at least 2 elements in their jutsu , Naruto is still on 1 element , for all his raw power he lacks finessee .

Naruto won't be Naruto if he didn't have a hard time occasionally .

Well Konoha isn't gonna just let Pein stroll out of there with Naruto over his shoulder.

These is the master frogs' genjutsu still to perform...

and as was mentioned earlier, Neji, Lee, Tenten and Gai still yet to make their "Dynamic Entry"

I just feel Neji and possibly even Hinata will be the heroes here.

The only other possibility is that Pein just caught a mere bunshin...

I made that statement vaguely to see if anyone else thinks like me. "Naruto" in my eyes, also refers to any of his affiliates as part of his jutsu. So all the toads helping out all counts as naruto.

Why he won't need help from any of konoha, is because we all know naruto's ability to pull a rabbit out of a hat even if he doesn't even have a hat. But the solution is one week away. We'll see.

Oh about the battle experience, who has faced stronger opponents at a younger age than naruto. Haku, Gaara, Oro, Kakazu etc. He might not have fought hundreds of battle, but the few that he did fight, is worth more experience than the hundreds.

Also, hokages can't merge spacial with elemental chakra. So to say than jounins use 2 elements and he only knows one, when jounins can't merge spacial, completely discredits that argument (Though i get what you were saying).

bunshin was destroyed with the shinra tensai

no crawling underground and hitting pein once and ending the fight
none of that rubbish

from the start i said it would take an epic gank to take pein down
if it comes, no surprise there

If Naruto is going to break free on his own it will be with the help of the frogs and/or Kyubi. We all know he made that promise to himself to not call on the kyubi etc, but think about it... what happens when Naruto loses ALL his chakra? what has ALWAYS HAPPENED? the Fox steps in. Now consider his situation, he has one of Pain's bodies sucking the chakra out of him... however up until now that body has been absorbing normal or natural chakra... the Kyubi chakra is Poisonous to anyone else and EVEN to naruto when used in excessive amounts. I am almost positive if naruto started to be surrounded by the Kyubi chakra now it would damage that body of pain or in the least get him to let go. And then we'd have a very believeable situation.
Naruto going Naruubi means Pain has to use alot of power to escape certain death and in so doing it will force him to retreat. Once that happens, it will take the remaining Konoha nin to subdue him (aka Yamato and team gai). What say ye? it's been TOO long since we've seen Kyubi after all!

You have a point there W1n. I have been praying to see kyuubi again. One of the things that had me thinking about the exact situation, which u so rightly pointed out, whether or not naruto wants to, when all his chakra is gone and death is upon him, kyuubi takes over.

But he still has his last bushin there and his toads. So until the end of next chapter, i am just waiting in anticipation

Whatever solution is coming will be completely unprecedented , not just a simple Kyuubi release or anything we'v seen before.

I think it will involve the suriviving ninja banding together to confront Pain , he's probably by far the greatest threat the village has ever faced , Even kyuubi probably didnt' do so much damage back in the day.

But the fourth prevented it from destroying the village... from both a colateral damage perspective... Pain run up in Konoha and level (pun intended) the village...

Doh get take, the majority of konoha populace I am sure were safely inside the shelter in the mountain. It's the infrastructure that took the hit this time. If Kyubi were to show up now who in Konoha could seriously take it on? *W1nTry listens to crickets churping*... at least the nin had some kinda chance with Pain.
