i think they are a liability as implements of vision
as stated early they probably just there for their abilities
and the reason he seals them is to conserve chakura

cause ah mean... yu cant really fight with an eye in your frakking palm
if i was sasuke i would invest heavily in sand and salt jutsus right now lolz

I would find it dull IF indeed they didn't have a genjutsu round... I mean the man have level Sharingan and no doubt their abilities at his disposal, we cyah have a man who was voted a kage being a complete sh1thound! hopefully it'll be a good fight, I like what i've seen so far.

I doubt its a genjutsu battle , sasuke's genjutsu would be vastly more potent and any such battle should be over alot faster than the itachi fight.

I think rather danzo used a high level replacement or bunshin technique , some like kage bunshin and the replacement technique sasuke used in the itachi fight can fool sharingan..

If danzo does have the powers of the dead uchiha clan members , didnt one of them have a body flicker technique ?

Actually I believe he did, to activate Susanoo, a mangekyou weilder has to have used Tsukiyomi and amateratsu, he did both in his battle with the kages. Specifically, he used it on one of the Raikage's nin to knock him out of the battle instantaneously, only Tsukiyomi has ever been seen to be THAT effective.

That being said, This may all be a genjutsu battle or as you pointed out a bushin of some kind.

Yeah but that is Itachi signature genjutsu. Once you start seeing crows, you know Itachi is near.

My theories:

1. One of the justus Itachi implanted in Sasuke by touching his forehead before he died. The jutsu autorun when Sasuke stare down Danzou witk Mangekyou.
2. Genjutsu by Sasuke (not likely, I doh fine Sasuke is a genjutsu expert)
3. Itach is indeed alive (faked his death using some uber genjutsu)

Something dawned on me whilst watching the latest ep of the anime... Madara said that when the 3rd died Itachi returned to the village to let them know he was alive and around so as to not touch sasuke. He also said that Itachi told danzou should he ever touch sasuke he would tell the world about what the village elders had done... I am beginning to think it's a failsafe like with the 4th and Naruto or the amateratsu and madara... I think it's Tsukiyomi that was implanted by itachi to protect sasuke against danzou.
