Any anime ever made you cry?
« on: December 12, 2006, 12:36:41 PM »
well the topic name says it, has there been an anime that brought you to tears or close to it?

For me that last episode of GunGrave was real frigging sad dread....espescially jus b4 it ended, when it flashed back to when Harry and Brandon were kids and just met. Of course i didn't cry but whey........some heavy shit.
Oh yeah and Samurai champloo when they all went there seperate ways.

 Yunno of course i didn't cry.....yunno i jus saying if i were to cry i would have then.....but i didn't....jus saying

I didn't cry per se...but I was sad when I watched Ghost In The Shell for the first time......even though the ending was dramatic...watching Motoko getting her head blown off was sad......Teknoman had some sad moments as well, since some cool supporting characters were killed off.

i would have to say the Samurai X OVA, where u see Kenshin's whole background.  and when his wife is dying in his own arms and cuts into his face.

i try finding grave of the fireflies in my local stores and thing but couldn't find it.  it must be a real old one then?  now the only other way i can see it is through the net...

FMA was cool. i related to them about their mom dying slowly through an illness, it was great i guess the most it did was choke me up a lil, but never enough to make me shead a tear.

yeah grave of the fireflies was made in about hte akira period

is about how the war affected the people of japan.
In a small way it tells the larger issue of what happened to the people of japan thanks to america's intrusion on a sovereign empire, bastards.

LMAO... curls up in bed... LMAO... i'm not laughing at you persay, just laughing at the wording of the reaction. I've not properly watched grave of the fireflies, but i'll give it a go now. That aside I though Samurai X OVA was sad indeed.

THE RAPE OF NANKING. STUDY IT IMMEDIATELY.
What can you do to end the hunger?
It's no surprise that many will die with the coming shortage of food
When there is no grain to feed the butchered cows
When there is nothing to feed yourselves...
Then you will see that money can't be eaten.
