This was nothing short of awesome...D manga doesn't even compare anymore....way.Man lose chakra for that statement seeing as the anime is derived from both the artwork and story of the manga, but we know what yuh mean, it was a sight to behold that first 5 mins or so. The art was far above normal (but in very much line with the framework of the manga) but it'd be nice to see it like that all the time.. I watched it today and it was boss... can't wait for the episodes to catch up.. the gaara akatsuki battle.... naruto vs. Oro... this is gonna be a good year for naruto...

Well there was a lot of back story that was left out of the episodes but knowing the series they might still bring it back as flashbacks. Either way it's nice that the fillers have finaly stopped so I guess I will stop reading the manga for a while to avoid the feeling of watching reruns.Nah, still reaing the manga and going strong... that aside, the potential spoilers for this week's episodes are great... Ah yes, last night was a good episode. Gaara has certainly become more creative in his use of the sands. Kankarou looks like he lost a little of his baby fat, he got slim and tall, but what's with the 3 scrolls on his back? If i had to guess i would say they have something to do with his puppet techniques seeing as he was not carrying either of them on his back. Congrats to Naruto and Sakura on their battle with Kakashi, Naruto did what he does best, found an unconventional way to outsmart his opponent... but the real star of that battle was Kakashi, anyone else's jaw dropped when Kakashi made those seals?

Heck I liked the Bleach fillers... yuh heard right FILLERS... but what they are doing here is some serious padding that is really obnoxious... they should take a page out of DGrayman's book on how to pad an episode, the animators of that series are doing a fantastic job of padding a SINGLE chapter from the manga into an ENTIRE episode and it doesn't feel like they are padding.

well i have to admit i enjoyed episode 44 of the anime a hell of alot more than the last few. I guessing they coming lcose to the scene i nthe first episode where they me twith Sasukeaka the BEST ANIMATION we've seen EVA in the entire Naruto anime... they paid a heck alot attention to that episode, so I look forward to it.... as for 44... *Coughs* i'm *cough* 'aquiring' it now....

Hello, everyone. Interactii here. I have an important announcement regarding the Naruto 53/54 double episode that aired this week.
1. The episode will be split in two and released as two files. There is a good reason for this, see below.
2. Naruto switched formats starting with Ep 54, it is now a wide-screen HD show. In order to accommodate the new wide screen format, Dattebayo will change the codec used in its videos. The new release resolution will be 856x480.
The new codec Dattebayo has selected is H264, which will grant better video quality in the same file size and permit us to do the wide screen release without changing to a larger file size.
H264 requires more processing power to decode than XVID did, so users who have very old computers may not be able to play back the files at full speed. We encourage users with this problem to upgrade their hardware to something newer than 1999. Also this means that people who were using hardware playback devices will not be able to play unless their device supports H264. If you need a new hardware playback device, I recommend the Popcorn Hour, which supports this codec.
Dattebayo recommends the use of VLC (http://www.videolan.org/) or CCCP (http://www.cccp-project.net/) to decode the files. If you cannot get the files to play then you should visit #db-help on irc.animenfo.com and get assistance there.
Dattebayo will investigate the release of an HD-resolution file starting with the next episode.
You should not expect both episodes to be released today.

The North American anime distributor Viz Media has announced that it will begin streaming the latest episodes of the Naruto Shippūden anime sequel within a week of their Japanese broadcast premiere — for free — on January 15. The next latest episode will be added every Thursday thereafter.
In addition, the official Naruto.com website will stream the first eight episodes of Naruto Shippūden for free on January 2. The website will add eight more episodes every Friday thereafter until all of the earlier episodes are online. Naruto.com is already streaming the episodes of the first Naruto ninja action series, and its ad-supported streams are available to users in the United States and Canada.
Please let me clarify that i am not denying that the licensed US naruto distributors will not stream naruto.. i am challenging dattebayo's decision to stop subbing anime...
My 3 fav fights have been: Lee vs Gaara (chunnin arc), Naruto vs Neji (Chunnin arc) and Sakura/Chiyo vs Sasori (gaara rescue)....
I'll soon have to edit that list to include the current battle, is one of those few you have to watch a second time right after bawling the first time around.

I think Naruto's major obstacle as far as the ems goes is genjutsu, he's NEVER been good at dispelling it and has shown to be susceptible to it on multiple occasions. Also unlike the 8 tails, I doubt naruto will have a symbiotic relationship with the kyubi and he'll 'watch his back' when he get hit with genjutsu as 8 tails did when he took sasuke to school.
Once he overcomes that particular obstacle the amateratsu and susanoo are probably combat-able with use of sage AND kyubi chakra. Think of it this way, Naruto is like a TANK, DPS and Healer all in one, sasuke is a DPS and up till he lost the Orophile genes was also a healer. So in effect Once naruto can draw the fight out, sasuke will eventually have to retreat or will be defeated. In a battle of attrition Naruto will win.

Instead I have to remind that what ever ending kishimoto writes he will have to create a fight that suits. He wont be able to please fanboys on both sides. I think kishi going to unleash some surprising bs lol. And its going to be well crafted bs but bs nontheless .
Now if however they were to fight now or even in the future. Let me start this with I am a bigger naruto fan . First of all rate of growth between the 2 characters well sasuke shot forward a few times but naruto's potential and constant growth is much bigger than sasuke especially when u think about the fox. Naruto currently have more tricks but in a fight tbh sasuke's speed, precise assasin like moves . Well i will put it like this ... in a short fight naruto loss one time. Long fight - name of show is naruto(naruto had more time for more tricks)
but still i dont see sage mode or the fox chackra increasing naruto's speed that much... fox is about power and sage seems to be the same, except highly concentrated and controllable ...Right...
me personally i dont see naruto beating sasuke in sudden movement speed...
as was explained sometime... uchia's bodies are designed for speed... that's why they can copy anything their eyes see

Nah, it was actually really good. Felt like it was supposed to be a movie, but they decided to split it up and air it as episodes. The animation was top notch.
